Donald Trump won a convincing victory in New Hampshire. We congratulate him, and hope that we will not have to do it many more times.

I think, after 37 000 posts over eighteen years, if this site was THAT opposed to my views I would have heard about it by now.
I also missed your promotion to Site Moderator. Congratulations!
“A Bad Night for Conservatives in New Hampshire”
ROTFLOL!
I assume you’re still talking about those pandering, lying, cringing, sold-out, PC, DC insider establishment “true conservatives” in Congress who continuously stabs we American workers in the back, right? Or are you talking about those “true conservatives” in Congress who stood up to Obama and stopped his agenda by passing a budget that eviscerated his illegal immigration policies, eliminated the energy-destroying EPA, eliminated the Marxist propaganda Education Department, eliminated the job-destroying Labor Department, eliminated the racist Civil Rights Commission, defunded the FCC until they give back control of the Internet to private industry, defunded Obamacare, defunded enforcement of 99% of Obama’s regulations and Executive Orders?
I agree with the sentiment except Trump IS the best candidate. He's not everything a conservative would want, but keep in mind there are only 8 or 9 candidates. He has completely blown away the MSM and the GOPe, he has singlehandedly destroyed PC as it is now openly mocked everywhere you look, and he can win. Maybe it's just me, but that sounds like a pretty powerful candidate. So, in this election, now in 2016 he is absolutely the BEST candidate.
He may be a bull in a china shop, but he is MY bull in a china shop.
He was kidding (I hope).
Indeed. Conservatives have been fighting against that forever
The endless childish snark, and yet they chastise Trump’s supporters, and Cruzbot fans follow the lead.
I’m laughing at poor widdle NRO - life has to be so confusing for them these days.
It's not what it is touted to be. The most surprising Mythbusters episode ever looked at it. And according to his fans, those bulls were no Trump.
NRO is hardly conservative any more.
If NRO was a bastion of conservatism, you’d have a point.
You are right, it is not.
But I do think it is important to look down the road a little to ask what happens after the immediate crises of border security and illegal immigration are dealt with. To that we do need to look at the political philosophy and track history of the man.
The third big potential crisis that gets little discussion at this time is the as many as four Supreme Court picks the next President will put up. Donald scares me and I do not trust him to put the right people in. We are literally one justice away from the end of our Constitutional Republic as you and I knew it.
Don’t forget the USSR and Nazi Germany had good walls and great border security. If the Republic is destroyed, the walls we build will be there and the guns will be pointing in.
I’m not suggesting that Trump of Stalin or Hitler but he sure does give off the “Mussolini” vibe to me, and I’m not looking for a “my way or the highway” guy.
I believe with Cruz we will get the border security we both want as well as a better economic environment to begin the resurgence of American jobs and industry. (Cruz does have the best tax plan and “gets it” regarding regulatory strangulation being a big issue.) And we’ll get the all-important conservative Supreme Court picks to preserve our Republic for our progeny.
If it’s Trump against Hillary or Bernie, I’ll vote Trump and pray, but I hope it doesn’t come to that.
“What do the backstabbing asshats at NR know about conservatives?”
They know about supporting President Buckwheat and giving him everything he wants in the congressional budget legislation.
The actual political beliefs of the NRO staff have nothing to do with the validity of the points I have made. Trump and conservative should not be mentioned in the same sentence.
I cannot help it if you do not understand that I was taking a shot at NRO.
I was invoking the Buckley rule. Trump looks like the front runner on the GOP side and he’s certainly more conservative than Sanders or Clinton.
So, my point stands that NRO has obviously forgotten the Buckley rule.
Yes, I do understand what you were doing, itâs called deflection.
You responded to my post, which contained no reference to the NRO. When faced with uncomfortable facts about Trump, you attacked the Ethos of the NRO, in an attempt to discredit the message. It is a debating tool of last resort when you cannot win on the facts.
First off, I have to apologize for my tone.
As a Christian, it was foolish and misguided to start down this path.
I get caught up in politics when the reality is that God is in charge and looking to man to fix what man has screwed up is the height of foolishness.
If I could go back, I’d never go down this road.
In eyes of God, it was foolishness and I got caught up in it.
Again, my apologies.
