Congratulations to the Jeb Bush supporters - Jeb is the big winner!
Trump’s 33.7% of New Hampshire is about the same as his 24.3% of Iowa, proving that he has peaked and his campaign is going nowhere. The only groups Trump won were high school dropouts, high school graduates, those with some college, college graduates, and those with post-graduate education. Oh, he also won with men, women, young voters, old voters, conservatives, moderates, and liberals. But outside those groups, there wasn’t much support for Trump.
Similarly, Cruz dropped from first in Iowa with 27.6% of the vote to third in New Hampshire with 11.6% of the vote. Cruz is past his prime and fading now that the voting has started. Cruz was Trump’s Mini-me, polling a little behind Trump with the same voters and on the same issues. Even if he wins the states he is predicted to win over the next few weeks, he won’t beat expectations the way Jeb does any time a real live voter bothers to listen to Jeb!
And then there’s Jeb! Jeb rose from 2.8% of Iowa to 11.3% of New Hampshire, quadrupling his support in less than one week! At this rate, Jeb will have 45% support by Nevada! At this rate, Jeb will have 180% support in South Carolina - a level of support at the polls previously only reached by Democrats! Bush trailed Kasich in all respects, with all groups, even those looking for an experienced insider, but that’s good because Jeb is at his best when he has a chance to get behind and stay behind!
Note: In case it’s not obvious, there might be a tiny little bit of sarcasm in one or more of my points above. My guess: Kasich and Jeb will get more news coverage than Trump and Cruz.
Mr Swift, is that you? Come on Jonathan, admit it. ;-)
I do like your modest proposal.
Thanks, that cleared it up nicely!
Now that I’ve seen the sarcasm in your post, I’d like to prove your point by directing attention to this CBS News self updating webpage that’s tallying results as they’re reported.
