You have good cause to be worried. The rot in the political/globalist cabal is entrenched and deep, running through admin agencies, the NGOs, and support groups (PACs, think tanks, and private interests).
They all want a piece of the pie. Read Malkin's The Culture of Corruption awhile back and now all this election sleaze. I know, it's been around forever and entrenched and deep as you said, but nothing is going to change unless an outsider-charger confronts and fights it! The power they have is beyond our comprehension and they're not going to give up without a fight.
Trump may or may not topple the GOPe, but no one else even comes close to the task. Patriotic Americans who know the threats we face need to work for Trump and pray for him and his family. I hope they each have security too.
IMHO, America as we've know it is at stake and with the threat of ISIS and muslim invasion, indeed all of Western Civilization is at stake.
We daily have to do our best to inform people about communism/socialism/the beltway corruption, waste and the GOPe - all working together to destroy our Sacred Republic.
The average person does not know the severity of this - yet.
