Sorry, I had this exact same screed blared at me about 20 times, but often with more profanity in it. I’m not going to argue with you; I know how it’s going to go already.
Thing is, I like Cruz. Or I want to like Cruz, but there are some things about him, especially on immigration, that are really bothering me. And to me, immigration is the only topic that matters this election, because unless we get this under control, then we lose on every single other topic.
I don’t like many of the holier-than-thou prats supporting Cruz who like to look down their noses and lecture me about what ‘real’ conservatism is while at the same time giving me the No True Scotsman argument about why my reasons for voting the way I do don’t matter to them.
As for who I trust with Supreme Court justices? I trust them both equally. Trump likes Thomas and Alito and yes, even Scalia. So do I. Cruz got burned on Roberts like all of us, but I trust that he’ll do it too.
But even more important than the SC is immigration, because if that goes, then we’re boned at the ballot box in addition to everything else.

I’ll admit to the point on the importance of immigration. I hear Trump saying a lot about it, but I just don’t have the confidence that he’ll make good on really effectively sealing the border and stopping the flood.
No one on the Trump side ever offers a reasoned defense on his career long flip flops from liberal to campaign conservative. No one.
