Trump will be the nominee because most Republicans will have voted for him.

Your comparisons to past elections are part of the “old wisdom” of the GOPe.

Except that McCain's rallies and townhalls drew 10s to a couple hundred, whereas Trump's draw 10s of thousands.

That is a yuge difference.
