FULL TITLE: Kicked in the Bowls: Beyonce sparks race row after controversial Black Power Super Bowl half-time show
BEYONCE hijacked the Super Bowl â and strutted straight into a Black Power race row.
The pop star, 34, who had been accused of shunning her black heritage, stunned viewers by performing her new single Formation.
It includes attacks on police brutality and copsâ response to 2005âs Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans.

Members of the National Sheriffsâ Association also turned their backs as they watched on Sunday at their Washington base. A copâs wife posted: âRise above and stay above the strife. For a girl who grew up in a privileged, wealthy family, she has no business pandering to those who didnât.â
But DeRay Mckesson, leader of the Black Lives Matter movement, called its âshout-outsâ to Michael Jackson and activist Malcolm X âexcellentâ.

Anybody remember Superbowl I?
Maybe if everybody screams enough at the NFL, they will let the guy who recorded Super Bowl I release the video.

Meanwhile Phil Anselmo (Singer for Pantera, Superjoint Ritual, and other metal bands) is being raked over the coals for a stupid outburst on stage.

There is an organization called “NFL Films”. They are the repository for all NFL footage I think.

He opposed Martin Luther King's non-violent approach to US integration and wanted his followers to create their own nation, free of whites. My first thought was, how are they going to pay for that? Second thought was, maybe it would be worthwhile to pay for it and be rid of the issue.

Seems like, as in the case of Whitney Houston, a black female entertainer of such immense God given talent leaves their religious roots to pursue the fortune and fame of the world, and to corrupt their soul in the process. They seem to go from light to darkness.

Appalling is the mainstream newscasters who are following their scripts and praising Beyoncé's performance. For starters, it was lewd. I thought that after Janet Jackson's wardrobe malfunction there was outrage and the half-time show was going to clean up. It advocated violence. Isn't the NFL supposedly striving to set a tone that cleans up the off-field violence so many players have been involved with? It wasn't an inclusive message, which is appalling since the SuperBowl is supposed to be for everyone.
Beyoncé interjected racism into the SuperBowl this year. The NFL should have had the guts to not allow that song.
My personal feeling is if uplifting cultural achievements are replaced with trash, people lose their potential to lift themselves up to be better people with high expectations for a decent and independent life.
