Poll: Trump’s lead grows in NH days before primary

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s lead widened in New Hampshire just days before the primary, according to the latest CNN/WMUR tracking poll.

Thirty-three percent of likely Republican primary voters said they support Trump, giving the billionaire a 17-point lead over his closest GOP rival. Trump gained 5 points from a similar tracking poll last week.

Trump now has more than double the support of Sen. Marco Rubio, who came in second with 16 percent support.

Sen. Ted Cruz has 14 percent for third place.

Gov. John Kasich follows with 11 percent, while no other GOP candidate broke single-digit support.

The poll, according to CNN, was completed as Saturday’s debate in New Hampshire started.

Trump was never up big in Iowa, 4 or 5% tops.

In fact, they were doubtful he’d win saying had to have big turnout.

Yes and if we pick the NH winner as our nominee, we will lose the general again.

It was hilarious how Fox showed the NH winner usually doesn’t win the nomination as if that was a bad thing. But the NH LOSERS who DO win the nomination always end up winning the presidency like clockwork in recent years...Clinton, Bush and Obama.

The surefire formula for picking a presidential winner is to NOT make the candidate who wins NH our nominee.

Trump and Cruz both impress me. I thought Cruz far surpassed Rubio in the Saturday debate...Cruz always give you content when he speaks that you can relate to. I’d be happy with either Trump or Cruz...but would be ecstatic with both.

Do you really believe any polls? They have been wrong 100% of the time and will continue to be wrong in the future. If you are a Trump supporter, Cruz or Rubio supporter, or even Bush supporter, make up your mind who you want to vote for, but don’t get blindsided by fake polls. The only one that really prospers from these polls are the Lobbyists, donors, and media. The people that do polls are selling something. I believe them as much as I believe a Sunday morning infomercial.

Would someone please post a copy of Cruz's 10-page single spaced plan to fix...[I can't remember what since I was laughing my head off that he had a 10 page-single spaced position paper on anything]? I wanted to read it so I can better understand what kind of a genius can't summarize his key points in a couple of lines.

Maybe Cruz could read us some lines from one of his Supreme Court briefs.

I was just watching Fox News with Mario Bartiromo and she was talking to RINO establishment Tim Scott from SC. She played the clip of Rubio repeating his canned talking points on Obama no matter the question asked by Christie, and I be dammed if Scott didn’t say it was planned!! She then knew she talking to an idiot and the interview was over. Can’t wait to hear Lou Dobbs’ take on the “interview” with the black version of Marco the Boy Wonder.

...wait for it. On Monday night, there will be a new poll that has Kasich, Trump and Rubio tied. It’s all about ratings!

Cruz got 3.4% more support because of belief that Carson was out of the race? And Trump and Rubio wouldn’t get any bump from that whisper/rumor?

Carson was expected to get 10% that night and got 9.3%. Did Cruz take the other 2.7% from Rubio (who came in 1.2% behind Trump)?

Cruz: 27.7 percent
Trump: 24.3 percent
Rubio: 23.1 percent
Carson: 9.3 percent
Paul: 4.5 percent
Bush: 2.8 percent

Carson’s share would’ve been higher (he was polling as the #2 candidate before Trump went on the attack) if the vote had been a few months earlier.

Cruz lead in all the polls till a week out when he allowed crazy Beck in campaign. Then he immediately went down. Beck is a moron. Without Carson stealing (probably Beck’s idea) Carson’s votes, Trump would have probably won, even without a ground game. Cruz has won his last state.

“Had your boy done his job (as he claimed he could) the narrative would have been how Iowa was the end of Senator Cruz”

Iowa would never have gone for Trump - they pick evangelical losers.

That Trump picked up so many delegates is showing his strength, even with all the lying and intimidation.

Cruz apologized (again) to Carson at the debate for the dirty tricks

With Cruz’s apology and admittance of sleezy, dishonest tactics, it demonstrated the unethical side of St Canuck and just how phony he is vs the image he tried to project.

Just as Rubes was unmasked as a well rehearsed robot, St Canuck was unmasked as a sleezy politician.

Gloria Borger said as much last night. It is not that Trump wins but the margin of victory.

“If you take out cheating, trump won and every voter knows it now.”

Bingo.

And it was pointed out succinctly at last Night’s debate. Carson did a thorough job in the beginning, and Trump gave a brief reminder at the end.

I support Trump first and Cruz second.

I cannot agree that the press has been easy on either Trump or Cruzthis week but harder on Cruz because of the Carson/CNN episode The two “dangerous” outside candidates are never going to get favorable press. We just have to live with that fact.

I don’t remember exact numbers, but Trump offered the lady a ton of money - around a million. She wanted to keep her house, stayed there awhile - 1o-15 years I think. She - or her relatives - sold somewhat recently for around $200k.

She should’ve taken Trump’s money.

If Scott had not said it was planned he would have looked disingenuous. Graham backs Bush and Scott backs Rubio as ordered by the GOPe. The expectation this week was that Rubio would win SC and Graham would switch his support. Scott being black was also to help Rubio get the black Republican vote.

Sooner Cruz can get Trump one on one the better. Trump has a ceiling of 40% and the anti Trump is 60%
