And from the delagates to the Article V Convention of States came the call for a real Constitutional Convention as they had too many issues to settle without one ... and the rest was history.

We want to RESTORE the Constitution. The evil among us want to REWRITE it. Which will result from a COS?

The lies begin in earnest. Art. 5 COS will NOT include a “rewrite.”

Repealing the 17th Amendment is essential to restoration of our liberty.

Term limits, balanced budget amendment and repeal of the 17th can only be done with a Convention of States. It would require 34 state legislatures to agree on an amendment and 38 states to eventually ratify. A convention of states cannot be “taken over” or railroaded or redirected or stolen or twisted or turned on its head. Again, 34 and 38. That’s an overwhelming amount of agreement from every part of the Republic to restore the Constitution as the central document of our laws and way of life. Washington will NEVER reform itself. Only We the People can do that. This is why James Madison suggested that this provision be added to Article V.—AND WHY THE FOUNDERS ALL SIGNED ON TO ITS INCLUSION. The Founders foresaw a time when the Federal government would have to be reigned in. THE TIME IS NOW—or we will cease to exist as a free people. Quit the quibbling and join the fight.

I’ve lived in Amarillo 3 times. Graduated from college a few miles away in Canyon back in 1970. My father-in-law lived his entire life there. I know the area.

Most conservative part of Texas. Has always been so.

Some really good people live there.

Yes, I’m for the COS that Greg Abbott has asked for. I called Austin over a year ago about another issue and at the time said I was for COS.

The problem is that big. And DC is pretending to not hear US at all.

If the threat of a COS is real enough to be approved, Congress will suddenly “get it”.

The Commies running our Fed Gov WILL NOT quietly give up power. The only path out of this mess is to DownSize DC! Close entire Rogue/Unconstitutional Departments including their SWAT Teams.

Eliminate the Subversive Bureaucraps source of power, their job, it is the only way to remove them. Reorganize the entire Fed Gov, move the center-of-gravity of the Government away from DC.

A word of caution about the Amarillo Globe News, it was one of the finest regional newspapers at one time. It is owned by an out of state holding company now and is a miserable newspaper. Their values are totally against the grain in Amarillo. I do not understand how they have survived this long.

No way I want the republican and democrat criminal organizations having a chance to rewrite our Constitution.

Article V ping!

Gov Abbott of TX issued a 92 page paper on restoring the rule of law.

From the exec summary it looks like a good read.
