Ted Cruz Shuts Down Martha Raddatz’s Cheap Gotcha on North Korea
Breitbart ^ | February 6, 2016 | JOHN NOLTE

During Saturday night's ABC News debate, co-moderator Martha Raddatz, a personal friend of Barack Obama's, asked Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) an incredibly dumb gotcha question premised on the idea that Cruz is some kind of war-monger, but only when he wants to be. Cruz was first about the news that, in violation of treaty, North Korea launched fired a long-range rocket Saturday.

Cruz gave an impressive and detailed answer about North Korean threat that included legitimate criticism of President Clinton's mishandling of his failed nuclear deal. Raddatz then attacked: ...

I really thought he knocked it out of the park on the immigration question. Nobody else even came close.

Cruz handled that ridiculous question very well. Liberals love their hypotheticals, that’s for sure.

We didn’t watch the same debate as the other posters.

That’s strange....tweets all over the place complimented Cruz on his story.

The place was so quiet you could have heard a pin drop.

Trump winning? Did we watch the same debate? Good grief, he was booed so much I was waiting for a meltdown and him leaving the stage.

I love the way he dealt with the gotcha question about deporting families. He doesn't lose his cool and just calmly states that he will enforce the law.

I've always liked Cruz. He's been one of the very few conservatives that went to DC and didn't become an establishment "go along get along" guy. I'm hoping that more and more Trump supporters start seeing how little detail he has behind his comments and how petty he is. Eventually they need to come home to conservatism.

It was stunning to see Rubio just repeating the same phrases over and over. If he falters because of this I think the race will come down to Cruz vs. Trump. I don't see any of the "moderate Gov's" gaining traction and Carson should have just stayed home.

I don't mind seeing Trump booed. I think he's a phony and petty. However, my wife and I both thought the audience was loaded up with Rats. Maybe it's just NH, but it sure wasn't a main street Pub crowd.

I think the audience was loaded up with the opposition, but they were right to boo his eminent domain answer. Evasive and self serving (and some outright falsehoods) mixed with a bit of bluster to try to keep people from digging in.

Yeah, people get rich. That’s why they offered Coking 1/4 of what her previous offer had been before they resorted to trying to use eminent domain to kick her out.

Well, at least we know she's not just another pretty face.

(You weren't viewing that photo somehow on one of those Apple watches, were you?)

I wonder what part eminent domain played in Jeb’s brother’s
Texas Rangers baseball stadium.

You are so right about this!

Just ask native Americans about how great eminent domain is!

I think this issue will really hurt Trump along with his NY values once the primaries move south. The northeast is pretty liberal. SC is where we will see the field get tight. I think the Trump entertainment value will start to wear thin in the next month or so. As they say in TX he's all hat and no cattle.

what do I care? I’m not voting for Bush and I’m opposed to spending public money on professional sports stadiums or for using eminent domain to put up professional sports stadiums.

I don’t remember about the eminent domain (I think there was some), but do recall that the whole increase in the value of the team from when W’s group bought it to when they sold it, was due to the deal they got on the stadium.

(I calculated it at the time, but don’t have the figures any more.)

I agree. The tax payers pay for stadiums owned by millionaires who continue to make more millions. It costs $25 to park at AT&T Stadium. I wonder if all that expensive art Ms. Jones had hung in the stadium was paid for with tax dollars.

Yes on all but especially his outlining just how many millions of illegals were "deported" by Clinton (12 million) and even Mr Compassionate Conservative himself, Geo W. Bush (11 million!)

I thought I heard JEB get the vapors at the truth of how many "loving families" his brother tore to shreds by deporting them!

Actually both presidents had no problem deporting so many millions as they knew, the illegals would merely walk or drive right back
