The biggest problem I had with Jeb’s sweet spot comment was that he made it sound politically calculated rather than it being a principled and thoughtful position.
I am happy to discuss or debate the issue with someone who has a position for a reason, and sometimes we will simply end up disagreeing. But I cringed when I felt he was staking out what he thought was the most acceptable answer rather than what he believed was the right answer.
Not only the sweet spot comment, but the so proud of himself look telling you he does not care in the least about killed babies. It is only political positioning and focus groups for Jeb.
