It is a private company, using eminent domain.
The spin isn’t going to work here.
Is it a private company or isn’t it? Yes. It is.
As for a casino parking lot, it is infrastructure that enables a casino that will employ hundreds if not thousands.
This impacts the community, the city, the county, the state, and the federal government through taxation.
This not just about Trump. It is also about all the people who will have jobs, and the many members who will be able to use the facilities of a casino and or hotel.
That’s a public service too.
Well said. Will those using eminent domain against Trump be willing to apply the same standards to ZONING, and perhaps have a strip club or housing project built next door to them? You can bet they would assert ZONING if it was THEIR behind, but they act like highways and pipelines and factories can be built and as long as it doesn’t affect me, there shouldn’t be eminent domain. (Typing fast so I don’t fall behind LOL)
These are the casinos that eventually filed for bankruptcy that we all debated about after the first debate, right?
Did the casino make money for the city or did it go bankrupt?
Was Trump the villain for using eminent domain to make money for the city, or was Trump the villain for filing for bankruptcy protection for his casino?
I can't keep up anymore.
