Marco and the K St. Restoration: I went to see Marco Rubioâs town hall this afternoon in Salem, New Hampshire. It was only a few miles from my hotelâI really had no excuse. I wanted to find out: Was Rubio really as slick and insubstantial in this setting as John Edwards? Answer: No. Heâs slicker. Heâs slicker, in part, because he at least seems a bit spontaneous,** with a slightly goofy, human quality. I admit this is hard to judge seeing him once â maybe he always lets his 8-year-old son sit on his stool during his stump speech. But itâs hard to deny the appeal.

Ah, but the other guys have BEEN in government and at least had a shot, so we know they can’t do squat. Moreover, none of them have ever held a gig outside government. Sorry, enough of that.
This is just not true that Cruz did nothing in the Senate. If not for Cruz, Rubio and gang of eight would be flooding the borders with all new citizens. If they could make it to the border, they are immediately citizens. That is one huge accomplishment for Cruz.
That's a similar argument to when some folks blame Senator Joe McCarthy for the House UnAmerican Activities Committee.
The Senate itself is an ossified body that places far too much emphasis on seniority for a junior Senator like Rubio or Cruz to have the power to do much. And then there's the issue of having a Democrat President who vetoes anything conservative anyway. It's the position that limited their authority, not anything they did or didn't do.
Trump wouldn't have been able to do anything more in their place. And that's why both Cruz and Rubio are running for the Presidency, because it is impossible for a single junior Senator to get much done.
Rubio doesn’t have a chance in Hell. His resume is thinner than even Obama’s.
Which is why Trump didn’t run for the senate. Still, cannot make an argument about their “records.” They don’t have any.
