Trump Vows "Forward Motion" On Gay "Equality"
Conservative Review ^ | February 05, 2016 | CR Wire

New York billionaire Donald Trump promises "forward motion" on so called gay rights if elected president.

While speaking with Bay Windows publisher Sue O'Connell Friday, Trump spoke about his wishes to unite the country on gay and lesbian issues.

According to a report by Bay Windows:

Trump, in the recent past has supported liberal positions, and though often criticizing and singling out specific groups he has not attacked the gay community. Now he shows his true leftist view points in an interview just days before the New Hampshire primary where he leads in the polls.

Like any good salesman, he plays to his audience. If he's speaking before a conservative audience, he'll say he wants to overturn same-sex marriage. If he's speaking to a lesbian, he'll say we need "forward progress" on gay rights. He'll say whatever he needs to say in order to close the sale.

In other words we can't trust a thing he says.

“”Well, you can,” Trump answered. “ And look, again, we’re going to bring people together, and that’s your thing and other people have their thing. We have to bring all people together and if we don’t we’re not going to have a country anymore.” “

The Cruz response:

“I’m going to shoot fags if they dont convert to being straight, and ask God to shoot them again when we kick them upstairs if they refuse.”

Or are you guys going to pretend like what Trump said is the opposite of what Cruz will?

“Does the fact that Cruz met with a gay donor make him less conservative? Or is this another double standard?”

Cruz is blameless....on everything.

And you hate Jesus for asking.

This isn’t ‘quite’ it, but I’ve fully been expecting Trump to eventually say something regarding fag-marriage and the depraved homo-agenda that will lead to me staying home on election day should he be the nominee.

Trump has been gloriously un-PC to date, but yeah, I expect him to eventually bow down when it comes to the ruling culture of filth and perversion that dictates and fully owns America these days.

Going to your posted link, Trump said absolutely nothing. He avoided letting himself get drawn in to a no-win situation.

Only someone with an agenda would read something into his response.

btw, will any answer to that question stop the illegal invasion?

>> Trump - “I’m not in favor of gay marriage. I don’t feel right about marriage equality.” <<

Trump uses the language of the left and can't even pretend to be conservative on this issue. Gay marriage ISN'T marriage "equality", its special rights for the "Gay community". NOBODY ELSE is allowed to marry whoever they want.

I suppose Trump will be telling us that he "doesn't feel good about reproductive rights for women" next.

This is the 2nd time this article has been posted and Liberally interpreted here!-)
“Well, you can,” Trump answered. “ And look, again, we’re going to bring people together, and that’s your thing and other people have their thing. We have to bring all people together and if we don’t we’re not going to have a country anymore.”
1st it was pushed as Trump saying he is in favor of Gay Marriage and now pushing forward the Gay agenda. It say’s neither!

That’s not even close to being accurate . What everyone uses to make that accusation is a case where Cruz was asked by a gay donor if he was going to make SSM a top 3 priority. Cruz said no, he was going to make restoring the Constitution the priority, and included in that was returning the issue of marriage to the states.

"When President Trump is in office can we look for more forward motion on equality for gays and lesbians?" O'Connell asked him.
"Well, you can," Trump answered. " And look, again, we're going to bring people together, and that's your thing and other people have their thing. We have to bring all people together and if we don't we're not going to have a country anymore."

Notice what he actually said:

When asked "can we look for more forward motion on equality for gays and lesbians?", he replies "Well, YOU can". Notice, he makes no promise of any action on HIS part.

Then he launches into how he's going to try to bring people together.

So basically he leaves everything as it is, and is powerless to reverse a thing.

But “but he loves the constitution” so no hit piece for him for essentially saying the same thing Trump as.

“Does the fact that Cruz met with a gay donor make him less conservative? Or is this another double standard”

No, not at all! It was a meeting of gays who supported the state of Israel and they wanted to thank him for his support of Israel, and to make campaign contributions. Cruz did say that moves against gay marriage would not be the primary thing he would pursue when he first became president, and there are other pressing things that must come first. This is a far way from Trump pledging full support for gay “rights.” But not to worry! Trump doesn’t mean anything he says anyway!

Now there’s the kind of intelligent posts that bring people here for political discussion.

A quick review of McGruff's posting history reveals that you're not exactly channeling Plato yourself, sport.

Well, here come the New York Values.

Trump has always either been telling conservatives what they want to hear or simply being quiet about things he knows they don’t want to hear.

It’s called a lack of scruples.

This is NOT a VOW: Trump answered. ‘And look, again, we’re going to bring people together, and that’s your thing and other people have their thing. We have to bring all people together and if we don’t we’re not going to have a country anymore.’ He answered her in a roundabout way that saving the country is more important than her issues and others’ issues. What a deception headline, yet again.
