I look at the whole person. And, since all of us have things in our past we’d like to forget - b/c of stupidity, b/c of ignorance, and b/c we were just too damn smug in our pride - I am not gonna throw stones at a guy if he can show me he is sincere in the desire to “wise up” ...

Trump has said and done stuff that is questionable at best, and downright shameful at worst ... But he’s also done things that were beyond gracious and rather incredible.

Like my priest once told me - “You’ve got a generous heart - but you’re a real pisser when you’re angry.”

Same goes with Trump - I know his character all too well. That’s the reason I can appreciate who he is and what he is able to do - but also, I am fully aware of the destructive tendencies that go along with that personality.

The peculiar thing is that Trump’s dark side is what also acts to make him no pushover in a fight. When the SHTF, the guy I want in the foxhole with me is more than likely gonna be the man that I know can give what he gets.

I have a little pamphlet titled ‘The Four Temperaments’ - you might want to look it up and give it a read sometime; it’s a real eye opener in how to know yourself and others.

Donald Trump is a classic colic-melancholic, as are most great leaders - and dictators (including Vladimir Putin). So, there is good reason for us to proceed with caution. Unfortunately, the times call for a man who will kick ass and take names. Senator Ted Cruz simply has not the right temperament for the job at hand - no matter how bright and shiny his conservative credentials ... More pointedly so since he has demonstrated that is armor is not so well-polished after all. Like Trump, he’s just a man. The difference is that we can see the cracks in his armor; and, as you observed, too few others a willing to look.

Love your whole post. You crisply encapsulated nearly all of my thoughts and reasoning as to why Trump is the best of all the candidates to become our next President.

Of everything you said, and of all the many attributes and qualifications I've pondered and examined, this is, by far, the most important:

I am going to join windflier in commenting on your post.

That is one of your best posts.

LOL... I too am a workaholic (well, I am now retired) with a type-A personality. One of the many things I used to tell someone assigned to work for me: “You are now on the A-team. Welcome to the fast lane and make no mistake, your career is about to change—up, down or out.” Most of my people went on to become leaders in my profession....I am proud of each of them.

With any candidate, we are going to have risks, but I believe Trump is at the top of the pack. He is driven to be successful at anything he does and he will work around the clock to help make America Great Again.

I have noticed a key word he occasionally uses, it’s “promise”. My read of him is that he is carful with that word and when he says it, it is his bond. Like me, if I make a promise, I will move heaven and earth to keep my word.

If he makes it through this meat grinder B/S political process, he will be an epic leader for our country.

Cheers,

~~Go Trump Go~~
