This seems like a dumb idea and counter to promoting safety. With blaze orange, you have one color that says look out don’t fire. By introducing multiple colors, you dilute the effectiveness of a uniform warming color. It would be like having stop signs in red, blue, green, and rose.

This is not a fashion runway, it’s protective safety gear.

Exactly. I wear orange when I walk the dogs during hunting season, and they wear orange coats, because any hunter instantly recognizes the color.

Pink? That’s crazy.

Someone told me deer cannot see pink and there had been efforts in othet states to change hunting color to blaze pink.

I think the issue is more a visability issue than recognition of orange. Pink is said to be as visible, possibly more. I don't think being visible in pink rather than orange presents a risk. Yellow, worn by most road workers, would work too but it's visible to deer.
