Looks like Donald got the message that going scorched earth on Cruz when he poses no threat is counterproductive. He wasn't talking about Iowa today. He was focused on his agenda at his events and in interviews.

Donald Trump has completely gone off the rails. First he likes Cruz, then he hates Cruz, then he wants to sue Cruz for voter fraud, now he says he’d consider him for VP?

Trump is in free fall. His Sore Loserman act didn’t play well and he apparently has read the reviews. This see/saw crap will not play well. Trump is a loose cannon just firing away at everyone and everything. I cannot imagine him as president.

lolol to repeat 1000 time - Cruz would never work for someone with no principles and carry a bizarre agenda for him.
Ted has character and deep founded principles.

He would lose my vote if he did that. Cruz is bad news. Very bad news.
I would see this as a sell-out by Trump & that his ethics are fungible.

How does a “Canadian” get to be one heartbeat away from the Presidency?

They’d better team up, or the GOP will get Rubio...and President Hillary Clinton, who will destroy Rick Lazio #2.

Donald Trump would not rule out Ted Cruz as his hypothetical vice-presidential pick.

Maybe he's thinking of a different 'Cruise'. :-p

I am a Cruz supporter but I think this would be a formidable ticket. Just a few observations:

1. If Cruz is Trump's running mate, a lot of the concerns about Trump by conservatives will be diminished considerably.

2. Trump may be better positioned as a leader at this point, especially since he's a true "outsider" in politics.

3. I don't believe Trump has any interest in serving for eight years, so Cruz (who is much younger) would be a great natural successor.

4. For all his flaws, Trump can run a very, very entertaining and energetic campaign.

Cruz isn’t really a threat in New Hampshire so Trump changes his tune, why am I NOT surprised.

Does he actually mean it, or a cynical ploy for Cruz’s voters?

“I’ve always liked him”

Wait a minute. Wasn’t the Donald saying recently that nobody likes Ted? That he’s nasty and a maniac? Never know what his opinions are from day to day.

Trump (and Cruz)had better start going “scorched earth” on Rubio - the plan is to pit Ted and Donald against each other to distract, and Rubio slip in through. I wish one of two would quite, either is better than Marco.

TRUMP knows CRUZ’S delegates will be needed to counteract a brokered convention.

The most interesting thing about all of this to me is not the behavior of Trump or the behavior of Cruz. I would vote for either if they’re the nominee.

No, the most interesting thing is the behavior of the FR Stormtrumpers. For months they claimed that Donald was only in this to be a stalking horse for his pal Ted. That was their justification for supporting Trump over Cruz, a known conservative quantity.

Now however when the two are often at odds suddenly Ted is some sort of devil and their hero is there to stop that devil.

I guess they were lying when they claimed to support Cruz as their second choiceor when they claimed this was all about beating JEb and the other RINOs

Shows Trump has no core... Jimmy Carter: "I'd Choose Trump Over Cruz as 'He's Completely MALLEABLE."

Ducking Donald is only interested if it can distract from his LIEberalism.
