EXCLUSIVE-Voicemails: "Ben Carson Suspending Campaigning"; Cruz: "Accurate Report"

New audio obtained exclusively by Breitbart News indicates that as the Iowa caucuses began on Monday night, the Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) campaign called precinct captains informing them that Dr. Ben Carson was suspending campaigning, and instructing them to tell voters they should "not waste a vote on Ben Carson and vote for Ted Cruz."
The calls were placed after the Carson campaign had already clarified that Carson was not suspending his campaign.
Nancy Bliesman, a precinct captain for Cruz in Crawford County, Iowa, told Breitbart News that she received two voice mails-one at 7:07 p.m. Central Standard Time (CST), and one at 7:29 p.m.-on the night of the Iowa caucuses, which began at 7:00 p.m.
The first call came from a woman with a phone number out of Galveston, Texas at 7:07 p.m. (transcript follows audio): [inaudible]...from the Ted Cruz campaign, calling to get to a precinct captain, and it has just been announced that Ben Carson is taking a leave of absence from the campaign trail, so it is very important that you tell any Ben Carson voters that for tonight, uh, that they not waste a vote on Ben Carson, and vote for Ted Cruz. He is taking a leave of absence from his campaign. All right? Thank you. Bye.
The second voicemail was left at 7:29 p.m. from an Iowa phone number that Breitbart News traced back to a Cruz campaign volunteer hotline.
Hello, this is the Cruz campaign with breaking news: Dr. Ben Carson will be [garbled] suspending campaigning following tonight's caucuses. Please inform any Carson caucus goers of this news and urge them to caucus for Ted instead. Thank you. Good night.

Gee, nowhere in the voicemail does it say Carson is dropping out.
@Steveking Carson looks like he is out. Iowans need to know before they vote. Most will go to Cruz, I hope.
Please, doesn’t Cruz know, only Hitlery is allowed to do this kind of stuff. For example the fraudulent coin tosses, notice how fast that was brushed under the rug. Nothing to see here, move it along.

I am no fan of Rove, but the facts agree with Mr. Trump and Dr. Carson, even CNN is exonerated.

Carson: Well, let me ask you this question, is it okay after being on the road for after three weeks to go home to Florida and get a fresh change of clothes? Or is that a problem? Does that make someone into an evil, horrible person?
..... So, to summarize:
Carson admits his own campaign staffer talked to the media and said he was going to Florida.
Carson takes no responsibility for the actions of this staffer.
Cruz staffer tweeted a media report based entirely on what the aforementioned staffer said.
According to Carson, Cruz should take responsibility for that staffer.
So Carson knew his campaign leaked this to the press. Then got angry that it snowballed from there.... He is kinda burrying the lead here isn't he.
And going home to get a change of clothes? Is Iowa or New Hampshire so rural that he can't send staff or go himself to buy some more clothes?

“Looks like he is out”. That’s not saying he is out, just saying his actions make it look like he is out. And if you are returning home with no future events scheduled, it kind of does look like you are out.
...and the headcount of those who changed their vote based on this information is still zero.
They said he was taking a leave of absence. Carson admitted his campaign put out that information of him going back to Florida, then skipping NH and SC and going to the prayer breakfast in Washington DC. So what else would you call it besides a leave of absence?
Cruz said he was dropping out, and using the trip to Florida as the excuse. It was dirty and you know it.
Show me in that where it says that Carson is out or he is quitting.
That’s a pretty smelly tactic to use AFTER Dr. Carson had clarified the report.
You’re going to go there? Seriously? They said Carson was “suspending” his campaign which was 100% false. CNN never said that, no one did except the Cruz campaign.
Suspended means gone.
No, they said that he was suspending his campaigning. The original CNN report said that Carson was going to Florida, then going to DC on Thursday, and had no events scheduled for South Carolina or New Hampshire. That sure sounds like he was suspending his campaigning for the time being doesn’t it?
