Republican presidential hopeful Marco Rubio on Thursday vaulted into second place in a daily tracking poll, but still trails front-runner Donald Trump by double-digits in the New Hampshire primary
Trump leads the GOP field with 36 percent support, according to the WHDH/UMass Lowell poll, followed by the Florida senator with 15 percent support, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) with 14 percent support, former Florida governor Jeb Bush with 8 percent support and Ohio Gov. John Kasich with 7 percent support.

This is a quandary for the establishment.
Do they allow their only viable candidate to be attacked by the other establishment candidates?
Bush is in a box. If he doesn’t go after Rubio, in the face of his funds being cut off, then he is dead and might as well get out.
Rubio is a clone of GW Bush, a compassionate conservative. His big weakness is amnesty, but that was the same with GW who almost split his party over it during his presidency.
...but where is Chris Christie??? Endorsed by the all-mighty Manchester Union Leader???
Bush is finished. The real question is whether he will take down Rubio as well.
honestly, I don’t expect Cruz to fare very well in NH, simply because the state is a socialist haven.
The GOPe road map is following right along, down with Cruz, up with Rubio...all the media is in on it...
Ted Cruz is probably over the border campaigning among his Chummy homies. :)
Looks like Kasich is going away Tues night.
We better hope that Yeb! damages Rubio.
ANY of The Cheap Labor Express candidates winning the nomination means we all lose.
“Surges”?
More like “squeaks” isn’t it? He’s behind Trump by more than double.
Are Cruz’s antics snapping back at him?
Once again, it looks like Trump’s so-called childishness, this time about what Cruz did to possibly steal votes in Iowa, actually has substance and gravitas.
This whole thing is pretty fascinating really I think. We’ll see how it all plays out. Trump seems like he’s pissed that politics is so sleazy and he’s going to call these yokels out on it. About time. Welcomed and refreshing.

Krispy Kreme is at 5%...
It's New England. I was shocked that the "shaming" letter didn't disgust Iowa voters and drive them away from Cruz. In New England, most folks value privacy. That letter might well be a turnoff in other parts of the country, even if it worked in Iowa. And with technology, what happened in Iowa doesn't stay in Iowa.
My wife's B-I-L lives there, and he refers to his fellow citizens as 'communists'. Watch how Sanders does, and you'll see...
In winning the battle, Cruz may have lost the war.
I guess his calculation was he absolutely had to win Iowa by any means necessary to have a chance going forward, so he took the risks of sleazing it up.
We shall see. The Information Age will/has changed the nature of political campaigns. It is difficult to conceal anything today.
Yep, and in the meantime Cruz and Trump are engaged in a conservative circular firing squad. Again, conservatives play it just like the establishment hoped. I wonder if they laugh at us in their boardrooms.
Yeah Sanders is going to get a HUGE boost from NH IMO.
Only their own. When it comes to their neighbors; they are the nosiest SOB's on planet Earth.
