Donald Trump on Wednesday leveled a bold accusation at one of his chief rivals for the Republican nomination: "Ted Cruz gave us Obamacare."
"He's the one that got Justice Roberts onto the United States Supreme Court," Trump added.
While Cruz vocally supported Roberts' nomination at the time, he was not yet a U.S. senator and therefore could not vote to confirm Roberts to the Supreme Court.

Not true. Cruz never said Trump was responsible for Kelo.
Cruz simply reminds the public that The Donald enthusiastically supported Kelo when it was decided and continues to support Kelo and the government seizure of private property to benefit development and developers like the Donald.

Romney was the immigration hard liner. Remember he was going to cut their benefits and let them self deport. That is why Ann was for Romney. Every other candidate accept Ron Paul who I also liked was for some kind of amnesty. Just like now with Trump being the only candidate opposed to some kind of amnesty. Which is why Ann is for Trump. And why I am for Trump.
From everything we could dig up on Roberts he was a considered a conservative. We pushed for him to be chosen under those assumptions. GOP did not vote for 0’care one of the few times they held firm as RINOS, Moderates, and Conservatives.
If Cruz was one of the voices that convinced GWB that Roberts was a fine, solid conservative, obedient to the Constitution, then I agree with Trump 100%. Not once, but TWICE did this knucklehead Roberts approve the Obamacare shenanigans.
And I would like to remind everyone of something Roberts managed to spit out during his confirmation hearing. (and no, I’m not going to look it up for you. Google is your friend. I work nights, and I’ve been sick with a cold for days. I need sleep.)
He said that under his tenure he will NOT entertain any cases that will overturn Roe vs. Wade. Look it up.
I figure he’s going to live another 25 years or so, btw.

Cruz recommended Roberts as a lawyer to Bush's legal team.
Cruz didn't recommend him as a Justice to the Supreme Court. Cruz said he would have preferred a stronger conservative nominee even though it would be harder to get him confirmed. Bush nominated Roberts because he would be easier to get confirmed. Cruz supported him for confirmation in an op-ed piece after Bush nominated him.
I don’t think Rubio is a version of Slick Willie. Certainly not as bad as Hillary or Bernie. I wish he were more resolute on the immigration issue but I guess it’s up to us to hold his feet to the fire.
My thought is that maybe if we had a Rubio/Cruz ticket we could get electability and conservatism at the same time.
Totally false. But it will probably be a matter of minutes before the Orange One - a supporter of government health care - announces he will sue Cruz over it.

The Donald’s mental health and stability is now one of, if not my biggest issue. Then of course there’s his credibility of his claims of conservatism considering his background.

In the beginning Trump sounded like the end of our troubles were at hand. Yet, the more he talks, the more supporters are bailing out. The guy seems completely unhinged, he brags that Scott Brown would be a great VP and that he could deal with Pelosi, Reed, Schumer et al. should make us all think about this guy.
I’ll tell him. I’m not afraid of the King. Cruz didn’t give us Obamacare; Pelosi and Reid are the culprits...and who donated to them?

They gave birth to the man who supported Roberts to George Bush who nominated him to serve on USSC, who easily won the right to floor vote in the judiciary committee (13-5), who easily won the vote amongst 100 senators (78-22 with all Republicans voting yes).
