Ben Carson and his closest advisers are going nuclear against Ted Cruz and his campaign for spreading false rumors that he intended to drop out ahead of the Iowa caucuses.
Carson's close friend and adviser Armstrong Williams told The Hill in an interview on Wednesdaythat the Cruz campaign’s tactics were 'nasty, brutal and deceitful.'
'We've been told all along that Cruz's operatives play dirty and were capable of this stuff, but Dr. Carson never believed it, he felt like they had a respectable operation,' Williams said. 'Now we see firsthand that having integrity just doesn't matter to them. It's about honor and character, either you have it or you don'.t'
Williams said he's certain that Cruz knew the rumors about him dropping out were false but says the Texas Republican allowed his underlings to spread it anyway.
'He's a pure politician and will do anything to win,' Williams said. 'It doesn't matter who he does it to, friend or foe, whatever it takes to win. Cruz has been running as an outsider and calling Hillary Clinton dishonest. Well, Cruz is the one running without honor or integrity, and this shows he's just like everyone else inside-the-beltway.'
Carson has demanded Cruz fire those responsible for spreading the rumor, but Cruz has said he won't do that.
"After all the candidates worked so hard, and Dr. Ben Carson had a staff member lose his life working towards this day, to have someone like Cruz and his people deceive and spread falsehoods is unconscionable," Williams said.

Personally, I think it's a good thing for you guys to keep drawing attention to the Chertoff connection.
I'm feeling a lot better about Cruz, knowing he already has people on his staff that have REALLY FOUGHT ISLAMIC TERRORISTS before. I would think that moves him up the rung versus guys that know absolutely nothing about fighting ISIS and Al Qaeda.
BTW, you might want to research the work Chertoff's group did BESIDES any NSA stuff....like the fact that Chertoff was a real hard ass about getting a Border fence built. He fought the EPA, Land Management agencies and wonkies like the Sierra Club to get it done. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm, I'm liking those guys more and more.

I know a sweet 70-something woman who I worry about because she believes all kinds of things people tell her. She is very trusting and can barely run her smart phone. She STILL can’t figure out how to text, take pictures or check her email. Surfing the web is improbable worth her. I can see a number of older people who would have no reason to distrust or disbelieve what they’ve been told.

But... they are NOT furious with Rubio? Is this not interesting in the gushing media Rubio love fest on his “win” in Iowa.
Here’s a little overlooked tidbit. Rubio’s people REALLY ran with the “story” of Carson dropping out, even as Rubio was being interviewed and said “we don’t say people are dropping out...” etc. So this is Rubio gaming Carson. Cruz is being targeted because of ... the Donald, who could give a rat’s rear about Carson, whom he called at one point a psychopath. Rubio is scared to death to say anything against Trump at this point— isn’t that interesting?

His twitter handle is @danpgabriel and he was one of the people pushing the angle that it was confirmed to the Cruz campaign that Carson was dropping out. After called out on the lie, the agent deleted the tweet and denies everything in typical spook fashion:

Disclaimer to the fact that a repeat of a Bush Administration sounds waaaaaay less scary than a repeat of an Obama administration replay......could you please clarify what you mean?
I see nothing the "same" between Cruz and Bush beyond they come from Texas, so I'm confused unless you are trying to tie them in through Chertoff's group. If so, I'd say that makes as much sense as saying I'm going to turn into my next door neighbor because we use the same security company or virus software.

This is what happens when a non-politician tries to run political campaigns. Had Carson ever run for office he would understand that this is a minor issue which would not even get a notice in a Chicago election. His staff was partially responsible for the snafu which CNN was able to exaggerate into significance. Ted only got into it because of improper vetting and wishful thinking. I guess he forgot just what a nest of vipers the Treason Media is.
The candidates (including my man, Donald) need to drop this nonsense and get back to attacking the Democrats and Mrs Cosby NOT other Republicans.
