Ted Cruz 2016!
Libertarian streak? His Preacher Ted Holy Roller act in Iowa seems to suggest otherwise.
“Principled” Ted isn’t. He just blew that to smithereens. That dog don’t hunt no more.
Nope.
Yes Ted does have a libertarian streak. Favors very high immigration and any trade deal that comes along and claims it will "open foreign markets" for US products (the same line we've been sold for a few decades). (The real, pre-Trump Cruz positions)
Yet another lying foreign born freshman Senator with a Harvard background and no real-world free-enterprise experience looking to be president.
While the infighting in conservative ranks is somewhat entertaining, I would pose a suggestion to everyone:
Focus our energy on getting the candidates to discuss the issues (all of them, no cherry-picking)and nothing else.
Discussing the issues in a conservative manner is where we win.
JMO.
What a shame.
Canadian Values, Baby!
Paul is upset because Cruz took the libertarians from him. So much in fact, the libertarian party may support TED in the general.
Trump is worried because Cruz is going after the Blue Collars non-partisans that is his core.
Paul’s departure is good, period.
Cruz is just playing hardball, which he and any conservative will have to do, to get elected and govern effectively afterward.
I don't want a mealy mouth, Mr. Rogers type as my candidate or my president, because nice guys who play fair, and are afraid to get down and dirty on our side get rolled over, and Democrats get what they want.
Like it or not, politics is a no holds bared blood sport, the way the Democrats play it, so we need a guy on our side who'll be willing to give them a taste of their own medicine.
Establishment Fear Cruz

Unless something surprising happens, it will be 6-7 for Trump, and 2-3 each for the peleton behind him. Trump will be up overall, around 14-10 over Cruz by the next day (FEB 10). Not exactly devastating with 601 delegates up for grabs on March 1, and over a quarter of those in Texas.
Before Super Tuesday, SC and NV should get Trump to about a 44-23 lead over Cruz... and Texas should make up that difference alone, going by the latest CBS Poll (45-30, Cruz, meaning about a 70-50 breakdown on delegates). That leaves the other 11 states on Super Tuesday to break the tie.
Hopefully the Trump folk won't make life too annoying when he is up by 20 for that week... but present indications are not good on that score, LOL.
Rand Paul is more liberal than Obama on foreign policy; closer to Dennis Kucinich, calling people “neo-con” and dishonouring Israel like his dad did. Rand should go join the Democrat Party.
