In 1999, Cruz advised Bush to say, “Not at this time,” if Bush was asked about Amnesty in the upcoming Republican Debates.
After Bush decided in favor of Amnesty in 2005-2006, I want to know what Cruz said about that.
As far as I know, Cruz wrote nothing, and said nothing, about the Bush-McCain Amnesty.
If Cruz actually opposed Amnesty, why did he fail to comment on the most intense internal domestic debate the Republican Party had during Bush's eight year presidency?
