Tonight Rick Santorum will be on Greta Van Susternâs show on FoxNews. Donald Trump will also be on the show. Do the math.
If it happens, this is too bad. Iâve never been a Rick Santorum fan but Iâve always respected his passion for his beliefs. Hopefully, I am reading too much into the tea leaves here. But if he endorses Trump it will mean that he has effectively jettisoned the social conservatism that has been his raison dâêtre in order for whatever pottage Donald Trump provides.
“I hope it is correct Trump/Santorum”
Really???? Geez, even Trump is not that stupid. What does Santo have? Maybe 1%?
Cheap shot, fathead.
Sour grapes that Santorum might endorse Trump.?
Anger?
Jealously?
Me thinks all 3
And O.J. didn't murder Nicole & Ron!
Yes, reporting the facts that Trump gave lots of money to liberals is a cheap shot...
Such language, is that the only reply you could think of?
Please don’t call long time FR members names.
Iowahawk is one of the great ones
wow. i have to admit i’m part of it, but we’ve destroyed the two lead candidates here in a million threads.
I hope that ill will doesn’t carry into November.
i’ll vote for the maniac, who knows, maybe he’ll be good, and it would be cool to have a fellow NYer for president.
but i’ll vote for him in November, like i said, and not before
Me thinks you are not really a conservative if you think giving money to Reverend Al to “buy influence” is no big deal...
Because it would make sense for Santo to endorse Cruz, as Santo has always presented himself as this solid conservative and pro-life warrior. Trump, not so much.
I guess that kind of elevated reasoning is why you’re a billionaire.
Not really. He's from Texas now.
Cruz I’d from Canada.
Born in Canada.
Well, Cicero, unlike the Circus Peanut, I don’t think Dutch ever endorsed partial birth abortion at any point in his storied public career. I can’t imagine Santorum being down with that, or Trump’s willingness to appoint pro-abortion judges - if he is, well, then he’s a poser of the highest order.
We argue and fuss about who's conservative or not and to what degree
Who's Christian or not and to what degree
When those are (IMO) just tools to get us back to the idea of America
In the late 1700's and the 1800's, The USA could rely comfortably on a fairly static electorate
Most people went to church on Sunday, and if not, they respected (for the most part) "the good book" and the people that believed it
Most people were honest and hard working (a very Christian mindset) and most people believed children should be seen and not heard and they had BETTER obey mama and papa .... until they married off before 20 and got their OWN reality slap in the face.
America operated quite smoothly with a fairly solid and consistent base
Not so any more and we can not afford any more rules, regulations, laws and politicians
What we used to know doesn't exist anymore ..... we can bring America back, but `it will take serious power strokes
I think Santorum sees that in Trump .... just as millions of others in America see that
Cruz is a dirty politician.
Try again Trish...
They have several eight minute segments.
Don’t read too much into it before it happens.
Thanks Rick.
I am guessing Huck, and Carson once he drops out will also endorse Trump. A Catholic, an Evangelical, and a respected Dr. who still has some clout as a 4 th place finish in Iowa. Good News.
Go Trump
VP? Don’t think so.
He needs to consolidate a big swing state. Florida. Ohio.
