I feel sorry for him. I think he’s a good guy and he seemed really tired. It’s not like him to be grudging, and he held strong on the fact that sharia is opposed to the US Constitution. His campaign had experienced tragic loss and he was good to take time off to care for his IA team. I do think he deserved to be able to announce his resignation on his own terms, and that’s why I’m really sad that the message got out to CNN who made it fair game for both Rubio and Cruz to talk about. I think Cruz felt sorry about it too, and that may be why he apologized.

I don’t think Cruz did anything wrong, but I wish for Carson’s sake that it had not gone like this. And I fear that somebody is either agitating him or trying to milk this for all it’s worth - which, if so, is scummy. The man has run a good race and should be able to have his announcement and be able to rest.

I hate politics. I really, really hate politics, because it brings out the worst in people.
