DanPGabriel, the ex-CIA guy working for Cruz tweeted he had personally heard from an inside source that Carson was OUT!
He didn’t tweet he heard it from CNN. He tweeted he had an inside source.
Of course it was a lie. That Gabriel jerk tried to follow me on Twitter. No thanks.
The specific inside source he cited in that tweet was Carson’s NH people. Carson no longer has any NH people; they all quit on Sunday and joined the Cruz campaign, so their work would not be wasted, according to their statement. They said they loved Carson but needed to go where their work could help somebody win.
Sounds to me like those people had just been told that Carson was going to close up shop. Which would explain why he doesn’t have any campaign events on his schedule.
If that’s the case, then Carson changed his mind about quitting - or at least about letting anybody KNOW he would be quitting, ‘cause he STILL doesn’t have any campaign events scheduled...
