Carson Camp: Cruz Apology Is Too Little, Too Late
msnbc.com ^ | February 2

Ted Cruz apologized to Dr. Ben Carson on Tuesday after the Texas senator's campaign was accused of trying to sabotage his opponent's chances in the Iowa caucuses.

Cruz's campaign blasted out a report Monday night that suggested Carson was going home to Florida instead of campaigning after the Iowa caucuses - something Cruz said Tuesday is "fair game" - but admitted that the campaign should have corrected that report when it became clear Carson wasn't dropping out of the race. He was just going home to get "fresh clothes."

The people behind this are Ted Cruz’s top echelon. It was no mistake. Cruz will do anything to win.

The good thing is that the Cruz campaign felt it necessary to pull this crap in the very first contest. This has put everyone on notice. The media especially will be watching him very closely. There will be a heavy price to pay if he keeps it up. As smart as they are... Cruz risks looking more and more sleezy every time his black ops team gets caught red handed.

Cheating politicians in the Cruz campaign.
Better thump on that bible a LOT more, Ted.

“I will not criticize the Cruz camp for being opportunists. It is their job.”

They lied to voters to gain their support.
Yeah, they probably just lied to the Iowa voters...

Are you going to take a swat at Carson?

Isn’t that one of the issues you have with Trump?

You’re a fraud SoCon. And Cruz was wrong to hit so low, and worse, King made an a** out of himself. HE definately knows better and did it anyway.

Great Christian values on display, not.

all it would have taken was one phone call to either Carson or his CM.. all of the candidates have pretty much instant access to each other.. but they weren’t going to do that because there was a good possibility it was a false story and they would lose their gift handed to them by a false media story.. hey they could always put out an apology afterwards if it wasn’t true so why not go for it.. it’s all about going for the win.. same attitude about sending out shame letters to frighten people.. hey it’s about the win and they’ll explain it away later

This is pretty funny.

Many of Trump supporters said they supported him because he fought to win, didn’t take prisoners and did whatever it takes to get it done.

They said Cruz wasn’t a fighter, etc...

Now that Cruz is showing signs of doing that he’s the big liar, creep, bla, bla, bla...

Trump likes to fight dirty and now that someone is punching back and doing damage, he’s in a rage...

The raging Trump’s head is going to explode before this is over...

I think that the creepiness factor is going to be his biggest obstacle. What the other candidates are saying about him really is true. Like the Clintons; he is willing to do whatever it takes to win.

Carson did this to himself with his bizarre antics of leaving his campaign at the last minute to fly out and “get clothes” a number of states away... That’s some strange stuff right there...

You mean like the “conservative” telling Iowans the he wants to increase the ethanol mandate???

You mean things like that to win?

Cruz’s “slime” comes dirt cheap compared to Trump’s billions of dollars of our money as bribes for votes.

I lost a lot of respect for Carson over this. Carson made it look like he was quitting. Cruz’ people reported only what was factually true, and the recitation of those facts made it look like Carson was quitting. Cruz tried to be the big man and apologize for not trying harder to fix Carson’s blunder, and Carson keeps whining about Cruz’ “dirty tricks.”

Keep telling yourself that, I’m sure it’s better than seeing a dirty deed by your pastor.

This thread proof that the only thing dumber than a Trump supporter is a Carson supporter.

The top Christian in the contest, Dirty Tricks Ted says it's ok to lie to the public about your opponents...

Something wrong with that picture there...

Nope, it shows that Cruz supporters will deny and defend anything from their Christian soldier.

You guys are all in for the game or you are all too blind to see the reality.

It’s going to be Rubio, but as I’ve stated, it makes no difference to you GOPe operatives - amnesty, shamnesty, what difference does it make?

It’s going to be a treat watching you all defend Cruz when the media gets their orders and he is hit from all sides, so they can make room for Rubio. And then, the defense of Rubio will be hilarious!

This has NOTHING to do with Trump, just for clarity, but you guys just can’t survive without the boogey man.

Trump likes to fight dirty?

would you like to point out where Trump was pulling “dirty tricks” on his fellow candidates?... I must have missed those and believe me the press would have had a field day with them if he had

I’m sorry your chosen candidate was so undisciplined, naive or just plain stupid that he thought he could announce he was going back to Florida instead of New Hampshire after Iowa and not have people think he was pulling out of the race. Must hurt to have backed such a clueless horse in the race. Maybe the two of you can go explore those grain bins in Egypt together in a week or two.
