You forgot how they would have said that Trump brought FNC and Kelly to their knees by cutting hiding from this debate(Megyn Kelly) , which Cruz had the guts to show up for, and got beat up on and still won.

That's very true. They would have patted Trump on the back for "courageously" boycotting the last debate and gloated that Trump's win now makes the media irrelevant in this country and proves what a joke the debates are.

They also would have likely filled threads with "speculation" that Cruz voters switched to Trump EN MASSE over the past week (even if Trump had only beaten Cruz by 1%) because he hadn't "cleared up" the natural born citizenship issue and "there is legitimate concern whether Cruz can actually be sworn in if he won the Presidency", and that the Iowa caucus results are "living proof" that Cruz cannot win the general election if he's the nominee.

The other interesting thing is that Trump literally beat Rubio by only 1%. (Trump got 24% and Rubes got 23%). If only a handful of weak Trump supporters had been swayed to switch to the Rubio camp during the caucus, Trump would have come in 3rd.

And again, the Trumpies would out be bombarding these boards with "evidence" of "vote fraud" and screaming that the "GOPE STOLE IOWA!!!" in any scenario where he lost to Rubio.
