Good for Cruz. This better not make it to the Supreme Court. Roberts can get creative at times.
The Constitution gives the right certify eligibility for the presidency to the Congress, not the courts. The SCOTUS can’t rule on this.
To all you Trumpbot, birther nuts, this is more evidence that this is a non-issue.
All you have to do to recognize Trump’s lack of seriousness about this issue is to look at his “bird that swallowed the canary” look and his broad busting out smile during the Fox Business News debate when Cruz correctly noted that Trump had publicly stated in September that he had no issue with Cruz’s candidacy, but now that Cruz had crept up on him in the polls, he was making it an issue. Trump looked like he was going to fall over and roll on the floor laughing, since he knew he had been exposed for his lack of genuineness about it.
Trump further confirmed Cruz’s charge that Trump was being an opportunist on the issue when he responded to asking a question about why he was now bringing this up, “Well, he’s getting closer.”

Does anyone realize how many people living in foreign countries are now eligible to be potus under this ruling???
ANYONE born to a father OR mother of US citizenship is now a natural born citizen once they meet residency requirements.
Koreans, Vietnamese, Mexican, Chinese, RUSSIAN... The list goes on.... All they got to do is move here and stay for a while.
I wonder how many foreigners just became natural born citizens of the US overnight now?
I still think that Ted Cruz needs to get this issue resolved in court. If not, the Dems will do their utmost to damage him with it. It probably contributed to his narrow rather than large victory in Iowa.
The left will bring up the issue again during the campaign.
