On the same day he won the Republican Iowa caucus, Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas got a favorable decision from the Illinois Board of Elections, which ruled that he met the citizenship criteria to appear on the state's primary ballot.
Two objectors, Lawrence Joyce and William Graham, had challenged Cruz's presidential bid with the board, contending that his name should not appear on the March 15 ballot because his candidacy did not comply with Article II of the Constitution.
In response to the filings, Cruz's lawyers relied on Supreme Court precedent, legal history and articles from noted constitutional scholars to defend the view that he is in fact "natural born" within the meaning in the Constitution.

I don't know.
According to that same section soetoro is not a citizen if he was born outside the US.
If he was born in Hawaii then he is an anchor baby, not natural born.
A great irony in all of this is that it was predicted many years ago that Republican candidates would face the same issue one day in their own ranks and here we are.
Show me where Trump ever said Cruz is not a natural born citizen. All I’ve heard him say is that it will be challenged by the democrats. And it will be.
When it comes to citizenship you are either “naturalized” or “natural born”. Since Cruz didn’t need to be naturalized, he is established as natural born. As much as I detest Obama, my issue with his eligibility was based on the fraudulent nature of his birth certificate. I suspect that he was born abroad, or his actual birth certificate showed his birth father as either “Frank Marshall” or “Malcolm Little aka Malcolm X” or “unknown” which would expose his entire biography as BS.
Again, as I have already stated, if a parent met the residency requirement (and the baby was born after 1952), the hypothetical princes are NBCs.

I did read it . you said you are a lawyer . it does not require those 5years to be right before birth. Those years could be from 10 years before birth
He was born in Canada of that there s no doubt. The Constitution still stands this ruling is no different than Pelosi submitting fraudulent certification to the State and the State accepting it. This was not a court ruling and their won't be one.

(g) a person born outside the geographical limits of the United States and its outlying possessions of parents one of whom is an alien, and the other a citizen of the United States who, prior to the birth of such person, was physically present in the United States or its outlying possessions for a period or periods totaling not less than five years, at least two of which were after attaining the age of fourteen years
