Donald J. Trump â@realDonaldTrump 15 minutes ago
Anybody who watched all of Ted Cruz's far too long, rambling, overly flamboyant speech last nite would say that was his Howard Dean moment!
No. You're wrong... again.
What carries Iowa for the dems during presidential elections is the mass of college-age brats in the cities, not the evangelicals.
You got that right! The writing is on the wall, it’s so damn easy to read I’m stunned so many keep missing it.
I’m not getting an autism vibe from Carson. But if years from now we hear he was addicted to painkillers for decades, I will say, “Ahhh, makes sense.”
He is on the verge of a nervous breakdown it seems, TRUMP does not loose...art of the deal you know.
I have never seen such a display of poor loser syndrome as this from any candidate. Imagine Reagan saying something so childish... JEB maybe.
One would hope you would get sick of the crap Cruz pulls like the 'Carson-is-ending-his-campaign' lie - so far Cruz has the most 'troubling' things about any GOP candidate running. Add in the mailer and you can see why he couldn't crack 30% in his own church.
Cruz was focusing on Rubio, if you recall. The days leading up to the caucus were full of Cruz ads attacking Rubio. The general consensus among the Trumpees was that Cruz had lost Iowa and was fighting Rubio for second. As it turns out, Cruz won Iowa with daylight (no doubt projected in internal polling) and was fighting off his biggest challenger, Rubio, who had the big momentum and posed the biggest challenge.
Had Cruz not switched his focus to Rubio in the last few days, Trump may very well have come in third.
Trump bought King Corn votes with promises of other peoples money and he still had his butt handed to him on the silver, not gold, platter.
Let that sink in Trumpster.
Cruz supporters are going to hate me for this, but this is my honest opinion. Rubio’s speech was good, forceful, short, and well-delivered (though I still don’t like Gang-of-8 Rubio—don’t get me wrong), but Cruz’s was very boring and rambling and went on forever, as my eyelids drooped. He also seemed terribly inauthentic like a cross between a televangelist asking for money, a second-rate actor, and a lawyer delivering his closing argument. I ended up just watching Hillary’s speech on CNN at the same time, instead of the rest of Cruz’s on Fox. Naturally, Cruz was still droning on even after Hillary had long finished, even though he began far earlier. Out of his, Rubio’s, Trump’s, Hillary’s, and Bernie’s speeches, I thought Cruz’s was by far the worst, both in delivery and content (putting ideological issues aside).
Trump is exaggerating with the comparison with Howard Dean, but it isn’t just “sour grapes” on his part to suggest that a bad speech was a bad speech. Cruz did himself no favors in his speech last night.
Trump hasn’t won any.
How long have you been a liberal? Have you ever considered becoming a conservative?
cruz, 8 delegates
Trump, 7 delegates
Let that sink in cruzer.
I absolutely love it and have sent it to everyone on my contact list....best one i have seen! Thanks for posting!

Zero ground game and still only 1` delegate behind your guy.
Chew on that.
Two whole years and he ran further to the religious right than even Huckabee and Santorum... and he actually ended up in a three-way, really. After two years cruz couldn't crack 30%.
Trump is mean!
My pleasure.
5 times longer than Reagan’s after he beat Carter for the Presidency,. I said last night to my dad I think he’s going to start speaking in tongues any second...
nobody likes to listen to a 30 plus minute rambling sermon after watching election returns for 3 to 4 hours
anybody who didn’t think that was a victory speech from hell try watching the whole thing again and I bet you can’t do it
Ref: “I think Cruz had his reasons for rattling on and on. He was getting FREE political airtime from the networks. It was actually funny how Fox had to keep showing it on and on...”
My thoughts exactly. If you parse up his speech, there were a lot of great 30-90 second sound bites that will play on and on... While it was a long speech and hit on many subjects, it was a very good summation of his entire campaign and outlined his policies and beliefs on all the key subjects of the election.
Not according to the Trumpets, they believe he can give Cruz and conservatives the middle finger and still win, ala Jebbie winning the nomination without the base, it ain’t gonna happen. Part of the base stayed home last time and the Romnulan won nearly all the independents and still lost. Trump and the Trumpets need to consider how far into the gutter they will go to win against Cruz. You may go so far left you need Cruz to secure your right flank. Why burn a bridge when you don’t have too Trump?
