No, they were making sure Carsons supporters knew about the breaking news of Carsons odd behavior which suggested that he might be about to drop out. Cruz didn’t start these rumors, Carson did that by abandoning his troops during the caucus to go home for some R&R - no serious candidate does this. BTW, WENDLE the way you post sounds enough like how Donald Trump talks that it makes me wonder.
Thanks. I was a Trump supporter recently, a Cruz supporter before that, and I’ve always liked Dr Carson, but I have never been in his camp.
Team Cruz is spinning furiously on this. Must be some fire here with all this smoke.
CNN is up to their necks in this. Their tweet - around the same time as Marco Rubio’s people started talking about how they were going to do better than anybody expected - claimed not just that Carson was going back to FL but that he WOULD NOT BE CAMPAIGNING FOR THE NEXT PRIMARIES.
I would not put it past CNN to feed the Cruz campaign information saying that Carson was also going to make a big announcement this week. If they did, the Cruz campaign would probably not like to say that they believed disinformation put out by CNN.
It seems like shortly before 5pm a probable Rubio supporter (Jennings Brown) and CNN came up with reports that were likely intended to frame Cruz in such a way that would turn Carson supporters to Rubio.

You are STILL sharing that phony Photoshop hoax letter? It’s Rathergate 2.0.
Really pathetic, dynoman.
This must be fully investigated and reported. Where is the RNC ? This will not go away. I expect sanctions at the next debate. I am so disappointing in Cruz— the man.
Not just spamming. But spamming with a fake hoax Photoshop letter, that some cynical Trump supporter created to try to trash Cruz. It’s so obviously fake it makes the Dan Rather letter look like the real deal.
Iowa is yesterday. Carson will get no traction in New Hampshire out of this, and it won’t hurt Cruz in New Hampshire, because he’s not expected to anything in NH anyway.
I wouldn’t put it past CNN, either. That DOES NOT, however, absolve Cruz and his campaign.
I’m in Mississippi. We just went through this crap with Barbour and Cochran and the GOP. Cruz is working straight out of their playbook.
Which is the “photoshopped letter”? You mean the one with the big “Ted Cruz” logo?
What about the letter tells you it’s photoshopped? Is there independent evidence of that? Thanks.

I agree. Which is why it’s so weird to see the Cruz fananticos pumping so hard on this. They’re still bashing Trump 24/7 & seem quite comfortable with Rubio’s emergence in the race.
I can only imagine the two-word response.
If Carson supporters bought it from the Cruz camp without hearing from Team Carson, that's on them.
Oh come on! You’ve been a Trump supporter from the get go...
Exactly.
Well I have been very blessed. I may support Trump , as you note, ITS ON MY TAGLINE, but I just sent the Carson organization some money and I understand from talking to him that the flood gates have opened on donations because of what Cruz did.
GOOD FOR YOU (since you prefer yelling). I just sent the Cruz campaign some money as well.
Cruz’s people spread the news that CNN reported.
Perhaps they should have known that CNN is scum, but then how many people here on FR have swallowed the CNN reports that Cruz used slimy tactics?
CNN and the GOPe thugs and playing us all for fools. We CAN’T keep with knee-jerk reactions. The CNN report was aired at 6:45, when there was no time for people to figure out whether or not CNN was lying. They gave CNN the benefit of the doubt. Anybody who initially gives CNN (or any of the media) the benefit of the doubt without doing their own research to verify it is in EXACTLY the same boat as the Cruz campaign - if they have only 15 minutes in which to do that research. It’s been much longer than that since Carson’s reports came out, and yet I don’t see many people checking out what really happened... I DO see a lot of mud-slinging which serves the very purpose for which this CNN lie was put out there.
I wondered about that but the Cruz campaign is admitting to having sent it.
The fact that CNN was able to get it from one of Cruz’s precinct heads shows that CNN is WAY more diligent in researching what Cruz has done than they are in making sure that their claim of Carson not campaigning in NC and SC was accurate....
The combination of non-diligence, followed by their spin against Cruz after Cruz’s people spread the CNN disinformation, tells me CNN is thick in the middle of this, and I think it is sabotage on behalf of Rubio and the GOPe.
I listened to Laura Ingraham this morning with Steve King as her guest. She questioned King about what was going on with this deal and especially his own tweet in Iowa. She thought it was low if it was true. It was true.
His excuse was that he was looking out for the people who were caucusing for Carson because he thought they deserved to know their guy was leaving them...oh, and also and it was a “heat of the moment” thing. IOW, his motives were totally altruistic, not that he wanted more votes for Cruz.
lol...King is either lying to himself or to the public regarding his intentions. Either way, it’s my opinion he’s lying..... period. It was dirty tricks and everyone knew it.
