Trump blames the VOTERS for Iowa loss: Republican claims he got no credit for self-funding - then claims he isn't getting credit for 'long-shot great finish'
Donald Trump spent this morning doling out blame on Twitter for his Iowa loss.
'I don't believe I have been given any credit by the voters for self-funding my campaign, the only one. I will keep doing, but not worth it!' Trump tweeted.
He also pointed fingers at the media for now crowning his second place finish behind Ted Cruz a win.
'The media has not covered my long-shot great finish in Iowa fairly. Brought in record voters and got second highest vote total in history!' Trump wrote.
The usually Twitter-happy Donald Trump kept quiet for 15-plus hours in the aftermath of the Iowa caucuses, where he was bested Cruz, but finally popped back online this morning to thank voters and spin his defeat.
'My experience in Iowa was a great one. I started out with all of the experts saying I couldn't do well there and ended up in 2nd place,' Trump tweeted. 'Nice.'
'Because I was told I could not do well in Iowa, I spent very little there - a fraction of Cruz & Rubio. Came in a strong second,' Trump continued. 'Great honor.'
Trump is looking forward to New Hampshire, a state where his polling edge is in double digits, where he'll campaign tonight in Milford in a bid to bury his Iowa defeat.
'I will be talking about my wonderful experience in Iowa and the simultaneous unfair treatment by the media-later in New Hampshire. Big crowd,' he also tweeted.

8 - Cruz 7 - Trump 6 - Rubio 1 - Carson, Paul, Kasich, Bush, Fiorina, Huckabee 0 - Christie, Santorum
LOL!
Ya...everybody believes Cruz is an “establishment candidate”....
Cruz is, in fact, the candidate MOST HATED BY “the establishment”!
Go away, Troll.
Your posts are worthy of skipping.
Carson looks like he is out. Iowans need to know before they vote. Most will go to Cruz, I hope. https://t.co/lW5Js50EMA— Steve King (@SteveKingIA) February 2, 2016
And to the globalists who dominate FR now, the cavalry is on the way---when the Koch money hits your professional-politician, open borders/amnesty wet dreams come true! Trump can't spend a fraction of the money that K Street and the Donor Class have to spend in return for the favors Cruz and Rubio will do for them (cheap labor, open borders, TPP and NAFTA style trade agreements, US wages reduced to third world level, etc.)
I don’t see where he blamed voters?
Trump lost focus on the issues and spent more time slamming Cruz than talking about the issues.
Other than Cruz, the rest of the lot would have loved to finish where he did. Yet he is all over social media whining. Very unpresidential.
Oh, yes - the Media DeathStar has forgotten ALL ABOUT Calgary Cruz's little "NBC" problem. :)
They can still buy Cruz, and have been donating to his PAC
Establishment pretending to be an outsider, it is a great thing going for him, it is obviously working for him.
He’s telling his followers that they aren’t worthy of him.
Better yet, someone take his phone away from him...
Because I pointed out that your guy is an establishment guy?
Sorry the truth offends you
“Yes, he accepts hard money donations, like every one else”
Yes.
He is not self-funded.
Appreciate your honesty. Thank you, Sir (or Ma’am).
“Both got exactly what they wanted last night, an establishment guy in 1st and 3rd place to show up that Trump idiot.”
I am guessing you mean Hillary and Rubio?
Unless he plan on self-funding the US once in office, then self-funding his campaign has no relevance.
Rubio is the GOPe candidate to beat. The GOPe is now going to throw EVERYTHING behind rubio. !JEB¡ cratered, he’s out now. Now the goal is to use Cruz and Trump like a battering ram to take the rest of the GOPe ilk out.
The inside story of Trump campaign’s connections to a big-money super PAC

What Trump doesn’t say is that he and his top campaign aide have connections to a super PAC collecting large checks to support his candidacy — a group viewed by people familiar with his campaign as the sanctioned outlet for wealthy donors.
This summer, Trump appeared at at least two events for the Make America Great Again PAC, which took his campaign slogan as its name and received financing from his daughter’s mother-in-law. A consultant for the super PAC is a Republican operative who has previously worked with Trump’s campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, according to several people with direct knowledge of their ties.

I’ve seldom seen a more bitter group of Evangelical Christian winners.
That's rich, considering these Trump comments.
