Donald J. Trump â@realDonaldTrump 15 minutes ago The media has not covered my long-shot great finish in Iowa fairly. Brought in record voters and got second highest vote total in history!
Donald J. Trump â@realDonaldTrump 11 minutes ago I will be talking about my wonderful experience in Iowa and the simultaneous unfair treatment by the media-later in New Hampshire. Big crowd
Donald J. Trump â@realDonaldTrump 6 minutes ago I don't believe I have been given any credit by the voters for self-funding my campaign, the only one. I will keep doing, but not worth it!
He didn’t learn a thing from Iowa. His campaign is “how great I am, and if you don’t agree you’re an idiot” He should learn to articulate solid positions. MORE than immigration. There are many problems in this country. Immigration is a big one, but it’s just one.
“Sounds like the whiner in chief currently occupying the White House... Always somebody elseâs fault...”
Oh dont worry, when the losses pile up for Cruz, I’m sure you will all grin and just tell us “It was all in God’s plan, and we are happy that we got to experience these losses”?
Seriously, dont act so cocky thinking the press is now your good buddies or are “scared” of Ted.
Yep...and the trumpsters kept telling us how smart he was and how he would so quickly learn “politics”. Guy hasn’t learned a single thing.
There you go folks. Not enough credit. Not worth it. No worry, he will keep funding his campaign even if he has gotten a poor return from his investment.
He might want to ‘Make America Great Again’ but he is in it for the glory as well.
The story is he did not do as well as everyone thought he would. Does he want to go there?
He could so easily turn the whines into trumpets, by shouting out the accomplishments but sloughing off the blame. That is one part of politics he needs to learn.
“He didnât learn a thing from Iowa. His campaign is âhow great I am, and if you donât agree youâre an idiotâ”
And left with just one delegate less than Cruz.
What a buffoon!!! /s
The irony is that Trump benefited by 24 x 7 media coverage for the last six weeks. It is a bitter insult for a narcissist when he is not the center of attention. One who lives by their celebrity perishes in ignominy, kicking and screaming all the way.
What he means is Iowa didn’t deserve the Trump 1flybys or team Trump lodging in fleabag hotels eating Iowa pig slop with no hot chicks to check out.
“Yep...and the trumpsters kept telling us how smart he was and how he would so quickly learn âpoliticsâ. Guy hasnât learned a single thing.”
He destroyed most of the other candidates, and is almost tied with the guy that had to live in Iowa, spend millions, and import an army of volunteers.
All without having to spend the money Cruz did, nor has he ever held an elective office.
I’ll say he is far smarter than the rest of the bunch.
Let me explain. Federal election law allows the candidate to spend as much of his personal money on his own campaign as he wants, the âmillionaireâs exception.â The theory of limiting campaign contributions is that the contributor might have special access to the candidate, which leads to the possibility of the appearance of corruption. However, one cannot corrupt himself, so Trump can spend as much as he wants on his campaign. However, Trump is not giving money to his campaign but lending it.Trump argues that the people should vote for the billionaire because he wonât be beholden to campaign contributors. The Federal Election Commissionâs report shows that in the most recent quarter, ending September 30, Trump raised $3.8 million, but spent only about $100,000 of his own money. When his campaign raises money from third parties, it pays off debts. A major creditor of Trumpâs campaign is . . . Trump. Money goes from campaign contributors directly to Mr. Trump personally (with a brief visit to the official campaign treasury). I do not claim that Mr. Trump is corrupt, only that if he is correct that a politician accepting donations makes him obligated to the donors, Trump is talking about himself because he is collecting donations so his campaign can pay its debt to Trump.
What does Mr. Trump buy with his campaign funds? For one thing, he flies in his Trump-owned plane, a giant Boing 757, and that cost $100 million (before he remodeled it). He can spend his own money on that plane, but we know he only spent $100,000 of his own money last quarter. The Trump campaign pays Trumpâs jet management company for the use of his plane. When the Trump Campaign pays for his airplane costs ($506,000 in the second quarter alone), Trump is, in effect, reimbursing himself for using his own plane. When someone gives money to the Trump Campaign, that money goes to the campaign bank account, where it rests a while, and then moves directly to Mr. Trumpâs personal bank account or the bank account of one of his companies, to pay off some of the money that Trump lent to his own campaign.
He’ll get out and get out fast if he loses a few more states. That’s how I read that.
Trump has to stop doing this... it wasn’t ‘the voters’ ... It was both party Establishments.
Is this a parody?
He has the opportunity to be positive, and start articulating real policy and a real vision for America. I bought one of those hats last September... that was before I realized this guy is a one trick pony.
Yellow journalism or just a back yard snake?
Yep... maybe not even run independent.
Trump is whinnying because he suffer from affluence and he thought, that after forcing Fox to kneel to his tantrums (specially OâReilly who was as obsequious with Trump as he was with Obama interview), Trump thought he could get the Iowansâ votes with his bragging and aura of invincibility.
