He’s down 7 delegates to Cruz’s 8.
He’s over! Finished! Pack it in!
... with a 20 point lead in New Hampshire and 16 point one in South Carolina...
Congratulations to all Cruz supporters and to the people of Iowa for getting out in record numbers.
Cruz: 50,649 votes
The Trumpets...thought he had a lead in Iowa..too.
Yeah, he got 7 delegates, and spent less money than anyone.
More bang for the buck.
Look, imo, all top three guys did well. Cruz won outright. Trump got the most votes per dollar spent. Rubio outperformed the polls.
When you throw in Carson, it appears that about 85% of the vote was AGAINST the DC establishment (I don’t buy that Rubio is necessarily GOP-e).
That is a good thing.
1. A New Yorker like Trump would have a hard time winning in a place like Iowa anyway.
2. In recent years, Iowa is hardly a strong indicator of who will be the eventual nominee. The last two Iowa caucus winners for the GOP were Rick Santorum and Mike Huckabee.
Trump had a rather large lead in Iowa, too.
In the polls.
Then the actual ELECTION happened. :-)
Read the article. It has nothing to do with him being finished in the campaign. It is about his business style, and specifically, the failure of Trump Airlines.
You folks are just precious, I tell you. For months you’ve been proclaiming victory on the polls before the first vote is cast. For days you’ve said the same about Iowa - that Trump was on a roll and unstoppable...all before the first vote is cast....before the ball is tipped off.....before the first pitch.....your six month long victory celebration has gone on and on.
So now, once the scoring starts, and you get beat - you immediately go back into polls for future contests...you haven’t learned your lesson obviously. But then, of course you haven’t. That’s been our point all along.
The media and Cruz folks always claim Trump is done.
Don’t you know its over for Trump? He has no chance to win now that Ted has 8 delegates and Rubio took third and was coronated by Fox News last night. LOL!
