It's denied in CNN's own story. Carson explicitly warns reporters not to "take anything from it." Carson then denied it 2 more times afterwards. His wife even had to take the stage to deny a Ted Cruz guy's claim that Carson was dropping out.
Show me the timestamped article where CNN first said that Carson would be campaigning in NH and SC.
Cruz apologized which means he took responsibility for dirty tricks on Carson. After the fact its easy to apologize.
