A tie would be great.

Cruz could have won this race by ten points. Carson, Santorum, and Huckabee votes would have all gone to Cruz.

Trump did well to get 8 to 7 delegates.

Well maybe trump supporters would rub your face in it, you are probably right, but the fact is this guy IS rubbing faces in it and is way over the top. Really can’t see folks decrying the trump supporter nastiness with this guy on Cruz’ side.

Seems to me both sides give as good as the get.

Yes, it was a silly comment for him to make. Cruz being establishment, indeed!

I turned it off because I couldn’t take anymore because his tone was worse than getting a tooth pulled.

The more I think about it, it is strange. The polls had Trump winning comfortably or at least ahead, the conventional wisdom had it that a high turnout was great for Trump and early exit polls had him winning. I’m not a conspiracy theorist, but something seems up.

Yeah... The Cruz vote total I get. He finished in the high 20s and he was always between a low of 23 and a high of 31 for a while. Plus his ground game came to fruition. Nothing real odd about Cruz pulling 28. Trump total is a little odd, but again not out of the realm of possibility. There was an expectation some of his people who said trump in polls would not caucus. But Rubio? Whaaa? The most respected polls had him at 15-19. How does he get all the late breakers? His result is the shady one to me.

Both Democrat and Republican parties are shaking in their boots.

Incumbents will have a big target on them.

Well, that’s what was listed. Not voters. BUT...I can’t find anything concrete. I have a hard time believing 180,000 voters vs. 1,300. There are more Dems in Iowa than that.

Please keep in mind this is Iowa - hardly a reflective demographic slice and a bizarre and Byzantine process

I’m thinking other posters are right in saying that Rubio was able to rise above the fray between Cruz and Trump. Although he got some tossed his way, it will only get worse for him. I guess for all of them with it being almost a three-way tie.

I hope they don’t destroy each other in the process. Of course I suppose it ends up being the strongest survive. And while I haven’t paid attention, I imagine hillary and bernie are going at each other too.

Trump is more of a winner than Rubio and the media is slobbering all over themselves for El Marco.

Iowa was never Trump’s strong suit and kudos to him for going there. He didn’t back down and say he didn’t want to win even though for most of Iowa primary season, he trailed either to Carson or Cruz.

So yeah, he’s a winner. Cruz got 7 delegates and Trump got 6, hardly a beating. And he came in 2nd, not bad for a guy from New York in farm country.

“I’m out here in the trenches dude. we need a builder and a doer. and we need the guy who actually will build a wall, not debate the finer points of bs in DC.”

President Cruz can ask citizen Trump to fill out the contract bid for the wall. If Trump wins the bid (he will have to compete in the free market), he can build it.

That is all Trump is good for — to build a wall. He cannot lead. He cannot reignite the promise of America!

Obamacare has done great harm to employees, employers and everyone. It is a colossal failure and Trump pledges to continue it.

Geesh I"m for Trump but I'm glad Cruz won. Yet you have to come in and totally lie about this. Wow...
