Same here. My father passed in 2005. He said a few months before he died that this was no longer the country he had fought for, but having gotten past the pain of losing him (mostly), I am glad he did not have to see the train wreck of the final year of Bush and the freefall of the Obama years.

I'm not a drinker, but when I first saw what you wrote I thought about the Confederates vice president Breckenridge who was a big drinker. Not sure if spelling is the same and whether the bourbon or whiskey was named after him.

I was very surprised to learn, at a family Christmas dinner, that my cousin likes Bush. He is an immigration attorney who lives in Florida. So I should have guessed. I figured he also likes Rubio but he did not say.
My uncle, the cousin’s dad, is a Cruz guy. I accidentally informed the son of his dad’s pick. He said “He told you that?” Oops! I thought they would both agree with me, that’s what I brought it up. The cousin is pro amnesty while saying he wants to secure the borders, just like Bush. My uncle is awesome and stays very informed.
If Trump comes in 3rd does he get a participation trophy? I thought this guy was a winner.

If the field is narrowed to 3-4 after New Hampshire, or even South Carolina, Trump’s high negatives are going to kick his ass if Cruz wins tonight or is a very close second.
