I just heard it on CNN: Cruz camp inconsistency. Cruz says Trump wants single payer for health insurance. Trump calls Ted a liar.

Trump wants to remove or repeal the law about boundaries that keep state health care insurances from selling outside their state lines.

If there is 10 to 15 health insurance companies per state average or whatever the number the average is; Multiplying 50 x 10 = 500 insurance companies that results in 500 choices for the buyer. This isn’t single payer - It’s 500 payer or 1,000 paying insurance companies choices that that have insurance plans for the consumer where they only had a handful before.

Cruz supporters are confusing everybody by obfuscating the difference between SINGLE PAYER versus UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE.

SINGLE PAYER = cousin of Medicare. Run by government. I am on Medicare for 9 years. I know inside out of how it works. It is 80% coverage, with benefits paid ONLY by government. It has flaws galore. I hate it.

UNIVERSAL HC = Can be rither private sector -OR- government run. I prefer private sector run. What it means is everybody who can afford to buy healthcare insurance is required to buy it. HOWEVER, it is NOT one size fits all program. If you are young and healthy, you are allowed to buy catastrophic coverage only, which is very cheap. And you can buy it from any of the 500 providers nationwide. If you are male, you need not buy coverage for mammograms, pregnancy and hysterectomies.

If you can not afford even the most basic coverage, because your earnings are so low, then you will be given a subsidy to buy the cheapest policy suitable for you.

So every American is covered. That is why it is UNIVERSAL Healthcare. It beats people showing up at hospital emergency room, and requiring more expensive treatment for a neglected advanced condition.

If one is a good Christian, then one should help those in need. So many “good” Christians are too stingy to help the indigent, and try to hide behind the constitution.
