Sarah Palin appeared on CNN this afternoon to explain why, despite endorsing him for Senate four years ago and being good friends with him, she dropped Ted Cruz for Donald Trump in the presidential election.
Tapper asked, "What tipped the scales?" Palin said, "It became a much less difficult decision once some inconsistencies started coming out about Cruz's position on amnesty, on building that wall and securing our jobs and our homes."
She even said Cruz would be "more of the same."

But I posted for you Cruz's current position, that he puts into writing, in his plan. It's for "fully enforcing the immigration laws through deportations and removal". He is not for a touchback amnesty.
Contrast that to Trump's latest position, that he is for a quota line cutting, expedited touchback amnesty for the non criminals.
Given the two candidates positions, there is only one reasonable choice of no amnesty. That's Ted Cruz.
“rock-solid conservatives”
How is it possible for these people to be genuine “rock-solid conservatives”, when they are supporting a candidate who is a naturalized citizen of the United States and is therefore ineligible to even participate in a Presidential election. What kind of “rock-solid conservatives” go around violating the Constitutional law with a disdain for the Constitution and the oath to protect and defend that Constitution?
.....”common sense immigration reform”?
As soon as a politician utters those words, just like in “common sense” gun control, what they’re really saying is “bend over”.
You see the word amnesty in there? How about support amnesty?
Now Touchback Donnie, the guy who thinks self deportation is a mean spirited thing that alienates illegals, he is your amnesty guy.
According to one of FW’s fellow travelers consistency only applies to this campaign cycle. Really.
I read your link.
A quotation you conveniently left out:
“They’re with their parents, it depends. But, look, it sounds cold, and it sounds hard. We have a country. Our country is going to hell. We have to have a system where people are legally in our country.”
What do you suppose is the “it” that sounds cold and hard?
Trump specifies ag workers to be allowed back in “legally”. That has previously been the way immigration worked.
However, with that kind of rapid fire questions and cross talk, do you really think he can lay down an immigration policy?
‘According to one of FWâs fellow travelers’
Brilliant move. Call me a communist. You do your candidate no favors by these tactics. They turn normal people’s stomachs. If you cannot defend your candidate without making nauseating personal attacks, there’s a bigger problem at work.
You’re as consistent in your attacks against Cruz as the taste of a McDonald’s Big Mac, I’ll give you that.
Cruz Pacs are loaded with money. IIRC you said that right here a few months ago.
Grow up. Nobody called you anything and I don’t give a sh4t who you vote for. It was a lighthearted post with no ad hominem at all.
Money from citizens, not candidates.
Sour Grapes!
Sour Grapes!
A “fellow traveler” is not a communist?
The results are in? Or you just support the lying going on at FR these days?
Santorum - A good Christian social conservative.
Hyuckabee - A good Christian social conservative.
Sara Palin - A good Christian all around conservative.
Trump loves Christians.
Only the people with blinders on can not see the connection.
No. It just means you support the same guy.
Sour Grapes!
No need for quotes, Cruz on RECORDED VIDEO:
“Fellow traveler:someone who shares the opinions and beliefs of the people in a group or organization (especially the Communist Party) but does not belong to that group or organization.”
