Ten miles north of the Mason-Dixon we had 28 inches of snow, yes, a deeper single snow than either of the Snowmeggadon storms but they left a combined total of 45 inches just four days apart.

Great melting today and even more expected tomorrow.

During the 2011 blizzard, while I was still shoveling snow in Columbia, I knew 4 guys who insisted on going to work near Fort Meade. Each of them were stopped by the state patrol, given tickets, and sent home.

So I guess this years storms were larger even than the 2003 single day record snowfall?
