This is welcome news. I must say I am surprised by McAuliffe's move.

Driving is not a right and driver l’s are good everywhere.

Gun permits need to be the same as owning a firearm is a right

Sometimes distancing yourself a little from the anti-Second Amendment commie and Nazi gun grabbers can be a good thing. So is standing up for the Bill of Rights, even in this era of freedom hating currently going on in this country.

Governments confiscate your God given rights and then sell them back to you.

Careful of believing the drive-by media. It was the Virginia legislature, not McAwful, who wrote the law. Granted, McAwful did not veto this bill.

Had he vetoed it, the veto would have been over ridden. He signed it to short circuit the political fallout.

This is such a dishonest article I’m almost speechless.

Nowhere in the article was it mentioned that McAuliffe was prompted to do this because a Va. legislator introduced a bill to remove state funding for McAuliffe’s security detail after the bonehead Va. AG canceled the reciprocity agreements with the other states.

Guns for me, but not for thee, peasants.

Yep but it was his AG, Mark Herring, who tried to accomplish this. McAuliffe was placed in Virginia for one purpose only — deliver Virginia to the Democrats. He can’t afford to be sidetracked!!! He quickly saw that this was going to disturb the plan.

It’s not like he had a choice.

The legislature was going to override any veto and they are the ones who pass laws.

Ya gotta read the fine print. It was a compromise. Not all is as it seems.

Helps to have the highly conservative House of Delegates that we do. They’re far tougher than their counterparts at the federal level.

I tend to question the writer’s knowledge of concealed carry permits. I’ve held permits from three states, Virginia being one, and found the training for non-Virginia permits to be more comprehensive and thorough than Virginia. That said, I am happy that reciprocity has been reinstated as it saves me $200 in application fees. I would hope that Virginia’s legislature would pass a law prohibiting any future governor or attorney general from cancelling reciprocity without legislative approval. This action by Democrats was simply a manipulative tool to blackmail Republicans. Unfortunately it had the potential to impact millions of Virginians and non-Virginians as collateral damage, and that is not right.

McAwful is afraid. He should be. Not for his life, but for his soon-to-be short lived political career. He knows Hitlery is not loved, and he has attached himself to the hip with the now-souring-on-the-public-palate Clinton Machine.

This is nice to see, but it isn't because of any virtue (other than self-preservation) on the part of McAwful.

This is welcome news. I must say I am surprised by McAuliffe's move.

I believe someone informed him of Wyoming's intention to cease to recognize Virginia license plates and driver's licenses as legitimate.

Whatever we might have lost out on with tourist dollars would probably have been made up by the revenue from the sale of the scrap metal of the unlicensed cars after they were crushed.
