So how is he getting away with it. It may be a bit of an irrelevant law, but he and his conservative purists shout Constitution every chance they get, yet ignore this. Why is it not cleared up or really, why has he not left the race for the sake of the country?

This is why he should have cleared it up when he had the chance. Now we are voting.

By fooling the public. The press, academia, Congress, etc. are on the same wavelength, and "the lie" sounds so plausible that it is effective.

They are so invested in the outcome, that "magic thinking" ensues. Judges do this too.

The fullness of time may reveal a surprise. The public would not be as aware of this issue, but for his "pushing it" by sticking to his position.

Secretaries of State don't care if the names on the ballot are eligible for office or not. There have been people taking office, and found ineligible. And at this point, the wasted votes only amount to a handful of convention delegates that the RNC can take from Cruz and give to Jeb, at the convention.

Not to say it isn't a big deal, but it's not as big a deal as Congress facilitating Obama's usurpation of the office, just as it would have facilitated McCain's usurpation.

Respectfully disagree. There are no respected legal authorities (Laurence Tribe aside) who think Cruz is ineligible. And now Donald is questioning his US citizenship. Please....give me a break. Get serious, Donald....you embarrass yourself.

If the statutes are ambiguous, it’s not Ted’s fault and he does not fall outside of any given ambiguity. Plus he’s a patriot. I love what Donald has done, but his natural born BS solidifies my support for Cruz.

We KNOW what Cruz will do and I don’t know what Donald will do with too many issues. I’d vote for him, but cross my fingers. Cruz will limit government. Donald COULD do the same, but I have no clue that he WANTS to limit government.....just make it better.

I say tear the whole damn thing down. Donald’s “better management” talk scares me. More big government.
