Sharyl Attkisson's Full Measure We're with Donald Trump on the ground in Iowa, on the eve of the first-in-the-nation Caucuses.
He runs better in head-to-head contests against Des, and his favorability/unfavorability is much better than Trump's. Hank
Trump will have to do a lot better job selling himself to me than the vast majority of his supporters on this board have done.
” I donât put a full tithe in the plate, but donate to orgs that I think will do a good job and be helpful to others.”
Yes, this is the approach we are taking as well. The second donation for the South American church recently - we did not give
That's a fact, not just you either, and not just the "Trump promotors" here. He has an uphill climb, and the distrust factor is substantial - nevermind the stated policy positions.
Ultimately, it's his problem to resolve. People are not apt to be persuaded by pundits or chatroom activity.
Of course they will. ANd they will dig up everything about Trump also ... a fertile field for plowing.
Well I still very much like you!
But I do disagree about Trump.
He will not be a “blond Obama” in any way.
I honestly believe he will surround himself with top-notch people like he does in the business world, and fight political correctness, 5the decline of American manufacturing and business, and NOT take crap from foreign leaders.
It hurts my heart to see our country in such distress, frankly, distress caused by Obama and the go-along-to-get-along Republican leadership. The short-sighted Chamber of Commerce’s love for the Cheap Labor Express has corrupted both parties badly and this is also a dagger to America’s heart.
Where was ANYONE until Trump made this an issue?
As for trust, I trusted the Republicans we worked so hard to get elected in 2010 and 2014... They, not me, completely broke that trust, called us whacko birds and other names, and then turned around and gave Obama all that he wanted.
In this case, I have seen with my own eyes that you cannot trust something that comes out of a politician’s mouth anymore than the proverbial scorpion not to sting you.
I don’t “trust” Trump or Cruz. I just think Trump will bust more heads. I want that.
Thank you for your kind words, donating to other helpful causes is just a GREAT idea!! I will always keep THE faith, just VERY DISAPPOINTED in MY chosen faith!!!!
Good question since both Lee and Sessions have supported Cruz in the past. Perhaps they’re just keeping their powder dry and not endorsing in the primary, at least not yet.
That said, one of Sessions’ top aides left him and moved to work in the Trump campaign. Sessions also said he was going to give support to the person that stood up to illegals and the trade issue. Given Trump has done both, there is speculation that Sessions will endorse Trump next week:
Sessions: Choose carefully America, 2016 is ‘THE LAST CHANCE’
Washington Examiner ^ | 1/29/16

Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions, a leading voice on trade, immigration and executive powers, is urging Americans to choose their next president carefully because 2016 “is the last chance for the American people to take back control of their government.”
In a sober interview with Secrets, the Republican warned that liberal special interests, Wall Street moguls, and international media conglomerates are fast turning the United States into just another member of the European Union and that the effort is being led by a Democratic president eager to go his own way with executive orders.
“This election is different because we have pell mell erosion of law, the constitutional order, where President Obama has pushed an agenda that eviscerates the immigration legal system, and pushed this trade agreement that will commence decades of transferring American economic power to an ever-expanding international commission. It’s just not going to stop” unless voters take action, he warned.
“This is the way the European Union began,” he added.

That’s also a good point, don-o.
He does NEED to do that.
Alas !!!
Yes ... you summed the whole Trump phenomena in your last sentence.
People are so fed up with the current administration and no one willing to fight back. Trump came on hard with strong single-layered vows. It struck a chord. Thank goodness. Here is someone man enough to take them on.
Hit ‘em, Trump. Hit ‘em again.
It was nectar to our thirsty souls.
For all our sakes I hope you are right about Trump.
Thank you for the admonishment to civility. I concur. May the best man win tomorrow night. And yes, I support Donald J Trump.
The Trump rally in Sioux City, IA should be starting soon, so I’m going to head over to watch that. Hope to catch all you fine folks later.
Best,
SC
I agree. That is what make me “trust” Trump. He unshakably loves the USA. Probably the one Presidential Candidate since Reagan I truly believe that about.
Supposedly, they were being united with their illegal alien relatives with the USG paying the costs of transportation. The resettlement of refugees is a huge business with many of the organizations that do it being leftists. It is a way to reward your donors and constituents like ACORN. Billions are being spent with little accountability.
Ooops - I mis-calculated - used to doing Eastern time to Pacific (3 hours) - the rally doesn’t start for another hour (1 p.m. Eastern).
I only know I heard the name MEgyn Kelly over and over.
I still think my hunch is right; that this whole thing was part of the deal with the National people.
We’ll find out soon enough if Trump wins the primary in Iowa.
Whew....just got back from church today and where shall I begin?
First, we got our throats blessed today../..what the hell is that all about?
My friend, Diane Feinstein, does her best to keep me away from Father Tom Flowers because ....well I asked her to. So comes time to get the throat blessed there’s Father Tom sitting on the stool blessing throats (lookit, I never heard of blessing throats for God’s sake...it’s like we never knew nothing until Father Tom came along.)
So comes time to bless the throats Diane Feinstein comes over and steer me away from Father Tom to the Deacon, whispering it would not due for Father Tom to kiss me while blessing my throat. Heh.
Diane Feinstein has been witness to all this and we have a lot of fun with it. I assure her she will soon meet the county lawyer and my state Senator....who she knows but even though we live within spitting distance of each other, is NOT her state Senator.
She needs to see how he can actually pick me up, right off the floor....which her piddly state senator could never do.
Anyway.....the blessing of the throat....go to hell, what’s that all about?
Anyway, watching the Sunday talk shows now....will be commenting soon enough.
Thanks for the update/clarification. Yes, I’ve read about some of the orgs that specialize in relocation and uniting of illegals - huge biz - and, as you say, no accountability. Obama just dishes out the cash like it’s peanuts.
The sweating, motor-mouth is on FNC on a special Cavuto program now.
Cruz is an insider pretending to be an outsider. He has spent most of his working life in government. His political ambitions overshadow everything else. He has flip-flopped and dissembled on issues like immigration and trade.
Good post!!
