” I question Cruz’s ability to get elected in the general election. And it appears that the Senate will likely return to the Dems in 2017, which will make confirmations that much more difficult, especially for SCOTUS. “

Well there you have it in a Nut shell why we need Cruz. So far as Senator he has fought the Dems and the RINOs. While The Donald had bought them.

“No wonder he sweats so much, it’s intense exercise :):)”

LOL!

Since it was brought up how much water he drinks, I haven’t seen him drink much, though I’ve only seen a few clips here and there of him on the road and brief interviews.
Guess if one sweats so much, one needs to replenish with a lot of water - maybe he should try Gatorade.

I don't agree with the legalization of the Dreamers. Is it any wonder that we had the surge of children last year and now this year, most of them unaccompanied and teenage males? They are being reunited at USG expense with their illegal alien relatives. The five million who Obama wants to give amnesty to are those with children including the Dreamers.

When you reward something, you get more of it.

Hard to argue with that analysis.

Trump surrounds himself with strong, intelligent people.

I can easily imagine Cruz getting an influential position of advisement.

You are so right, chiller. It’s easy to say clear it up but impossible to do.

Trump has beaten the horse of Ted’s citizenship to the point that all his supporters seem to feel that if Ted is a NBC he should just prove it. How??

I agree with your assessment for the most part. I think your query about wondering if Trump will get the right things done is certainly a good question; however, if he does half of what he says he will do - primarily making better deals for the US, putting capable people and not political hacks in charge of negotiating, etc., and building the “big, beautiful wall”, that will be a YUGE start in turning our country around. Unlike Obummer, I think Trump truly loves this country and wants what is best for her and her people.

” Cruz very much approved of (now) Chief Justice Roberts, right along with notable liberals Harvard Law Professor Tribe, “

Yes, agreed, however that still leaves us on balance

Cruz = better chance of Limited Federal G’emt Layers appointed to the federal courts

Trump = Unknown, his past however does not engender confidence on this point

He has fought them and accomplished what? Being a grandstanding gadfly and a pariah in your own party may be a badge of honor for some, but you can’t rule by decree. Where are the endorsements from Cruz’s fellow conservative senators? Why can’t a Mike Lee or a Jeff Sessions give him an endorsement? Are all the other senators RINOs in Cruz’s mind?

“I agree and I’m a Catholic - I hate that many of the Bishops and churches are supporting illegal immigration”

And the Argentinian Pope is a Communist. The Church has suffered through some unholy Popes.
I will ask for forgiveness on my death bed. In the meantime life is a bitch

If Cruz winds up being the nominee, you don't think the democrats won't beat the issue to death? So far, they have remained rather quiet. I wonder why?

Very well stated and I totally agree. Not only the surge earlier last year, but there were a lot more coming over in Oct/Nov - wonder where Obama stashed them. It’s not fair to the kids - I was reading the other day where some had been placed with foster parents that hadn’t been vetted and bad things were happening.

I know, Alas, and that is the ONLY reason I would vote for Trump.

It scares me a little that he seems on pace to win the nomination. I cannot imagine either the crook Hillary or the socialist Bernie winning against anybody ....

except maybe Trump. Trump arouses strong feelings ...lots of people cannot stand him.

This is not because I’m for Cruz. When this thing got going I had Trump as a close second to Cruz ... would’ve been happy to see him win.

Little by little I found out stuff about Trump that made me cringe... little stuff and big stuff.

He will be a blond version of Obama. He will be for big government but think he can run it better. He has no core values on social issues; no strong urge to reform the tax system and his main issue - immigration is now shown to be a revolving wall.

If only I were for Donald Trump. People would like me.

I am a Catholic also and VERY SICK of their social justice stance!! That and the coverup of the molestation of young boys, then taking donations parishioners make every Sunday to payoff the MANY law suits just sticks in my craw!!! I have honestly seriously considered becoming a member of a different church but don’t really know where to start looking!!!

Yes, I am very disappointed in this Pope. The last two before him were so much better, especially John Paul.

” Are all the other senators RINOs in Cruz’s mind?”

That comment may be a stretch, but Most Senators and Congressmen are indeed in support of a GREAT Federal G’ment controlling all aspects of your life.

Cruz has started the Battle - Many Previous candidates (Mississippi Senate election) never made it as far.

So one can start eating the Elephant one bite at a time or take your ball and go home

Exactly. No matter how much Cruz wants to win Iowa, he stuck by his core principles on government subsidies.

Keep the faith, Kit cat. I don’t put a full tithe in the plate, but donate to orgs that I think will do a good job and be helpful to others.
