Awfully strong words there, catnipman. You consider me whatever you want, I’ll not consider you anything at all, going forward.
However, one last reply from me to you: here is but one link showing that “vote shaming” political direct mail has been around for many years, used across the country, even in Iowa:

Now, goodbye to you.
Could it be the problem was the “VOTING VIOLATION” mailer?
Was that, too, copied from past “successful” uses?
That, to me, WOULD look like something serious and it is as badly misleading as those flyers that say that you are one of three people, one of which wins the Powerball.
You are correct sir. It's been done before.
And every time it's been used it's been met with derision, and universally so.
And this time a well-respected SoS of a well-respected Governor has made a very public announcement hinting that the mailer is illegal (of course, it's not).
It was inevitable that someday such a tactic would hurt the originator with voters. Not the target voters that the mailer went to (that was well researched to have maximum positive results) would rise up angry.
But that it would become a cause of ridicule by every opposing political entity.
This bone-headed move will be on the front page of every newspaper in the country tomorrow AM. Especially Iowa...along with the SoS decrying "voter intimidation".
This relegates Cruz to 3rd place in Iowa and on life support.
goodbye or not, i was out of line. there are some others here who are routinely posting wild, madeup lies. AND you did in fact post evidence to the veracity of your claim.
I apologize for what it’s worth.
I saw the article stated that a professor at the University of Northern Iowa did research on it, but it does not say the tactic was actually used in Iowa.
Well, if EVERYBODY’S doin it...
