Wow. This is sleazy. I can’t believe anyone would think this would help. It may bring out the vote, but if I got one of these I sure as hell wouldn’t vote for the guy who sent it.

"It may bring out the vote..."

Yes, this may not prompt people to vote for Trump, but it will almost certainly prompt people to vote against Cruz. Overall, I think it may suppress voter participation. If I'm an unregistered voter in Iowa that hears about this my thoughts are going to be, "Why in the hell should I put my name and address in a database that's going to be used like this?"

I will pray this was an opposition scam, because I really want Cruz in second place throughout the campaign. I want a trump /Cruz ticket which is an automatical winning formula.

Obama's voter report card in 2012:

In an article with the Guardian, Cruz said his funding and outreach apparatus "is very much the Obama model - a data-driven, grassroots-driven campaign - and it is a reason why our campaign is steadily gathering strength".

Similar mailers were sent out during the 2012 race to encourage people to vote for Barack Obama, and were also met with condemnation.
