Mike Bloomberg did an excellent job of running NYC.
He is fiscally conservative, provided strong support for the police and improved a very dysfunctional school system.
He is socially liberal but, too, paternalistic.
He is a very good leader and can work with those of opposing views.
While I think he would make a very good President, I don’t think he is electable.
Not saying he is wrong about this, just want to add: I detest Luntz.
I think State Legislatures should meet this Spring and determine their rules for plurality results on November 8.
There’s nothing that says electors should be appointed with less than 50% of the popular vote.
Frank here’s an idea; how about asking some people who don’t live in Manhattan what they think of Bloomberg? Of again you have made a science of producing out-liers.
WHAT???!? His anti-second-amendment views ALONE disqualify him from 'very good President' status.
The poll makes sense. Bloom is a leftist and takes more votes from Clinton. The poll is logical. Exactly what does Luntz gain by making this up?
I agree. Trump will Florida. Easily win Florida.
It is not the same country as it was in 1992. You have noticed, haven’t you?
Blooie could jump into the race as a Republican and make a tremendous media splash and Trump would sail on unaffected. Or, if the Sultan or his Vizier have determined to indict and remove Mrs. Bill he could enter as a Democrat and make that splash. He would certainly bring excitement to the process but would, even as a Democrat, not affect Trump terribly much. Bloom is a top tier financier. Trump is a top of the line Developer. Different instincts are involved and the Developer skills will trump the money-mover.
Would love to see a poll with Trump ahead in Michigan, but have seen no such evidence. Michigan will fall into line once the unions get going post-Dem primary. R’s haven’t won there in nearly 30 years.
Yes, this country has changed.
All the more reason a short, Jewish, mumbling billionaire has no chance in a three way, 50 state race against a true, blue and red socialist democrat like Hillary and a Republican.
Bloomberg, spending a ridiculous amount of money, barely eked out a win in 2009 against an unknown challenger.
He's Mike Dukakis without the charisma.
I don’t know how Bloomberg would overcome his New York Values. No way he could win!
I acknowledge your thoughtful points regarding Bloomberg’s watch in NYC. But even Rudie Giuliani could not get off the ground in 2004. Bloomberg is an atheistic Jew who is spending millions across the nation to undermine the 2nd Amendment. He is anathema.
You asked and here it is ...Trump is pulling large amounts of Conservative blue collar union types ... the Dims are panicked at the prospect of going up against Trump

Back to your comment , the R’s haven’t had a pro-American trade policy since Reagan ... it’s all about immigration and trade ...We have to win some of the rust-belt states and Trump is the only one who can do it ..
Interesting, thanks. Haven’t seen that one on RCP.
No prob ..I must say it kind of stunned me ...hopefully it’s not an outlier
The VAST majority of Americans don’t know who Bloomberg is and don’t care.
