To: Alberta's Child
They're all human, so they all have "issues" of their own. The difference is that the ones with dignity and class don't wear them on their sleeves.

We should prefer secrecy and hypocrisy, then, and have their suppressed foibles "exposed" with glaring headlines when they slip up while in office? No thanks. I'll take the "what you see is what you get" option.

For all sin and fall short of the glory of God.

The last time I heard that kind of take on public virtue and vice in elected officials, I was listening to a Clinton apologist back in the late 1990s.

There's something to be said for that attitude, though. But if that's how you set your standards, maybe we should just throw it all to sh!t and support Idi Amin as the GOP nominee.
