Trump is the most gratuitously nasty public figure that this country has seen in living memory. He is the very definition of a bully: at every opportunity to kick someone when he's down, Trump takes it, while shamelessly trumpeting his own dominance. Long after former Texas governor Rick Perry had withdrawn from the primary race, Trump was still sneering at Perry's glasses and intelligence during campaign rallies and gloating about how he had forced Perry's withdrawal. New York governor George Pataki held out longer in the campaign, but he was never a threat to Trump. Yet nearly every Trump stump speech still includes a mean-spirited reference to this nonentity. Trump followers defend his penchant for ceaseless, obsessive attack on the ground that he lashes out only when he has himself been criticized. But there is virtue in proportionality. Trump escalates a conventional campaign sally into the excuse for nonstop, self-aggrandizing war.
Trump is the embodiment of what the Italians call "maleducato"--poorly raised, ill-bred. Indeed, judging by the results, his upbringing seems to have involved no check whatsoever on the crudest male instincts for aggression and humiliation. Trump is unfailingly personal in his attacks. Nor is his comportment merely a refusal to be politically correct. Trump was on solid ground when he responded to Fox News's Megyn Kelly during the first Republican debate that he had no time for political correctness. A repudiation of political correctness means truth-telling, however. Trump's personal sneers are not truth-telling but merely the self-indulgent gestures of someone who makes no effort to control his desire to humiliate.

I don’t know about you, but, I am getting rather disgusted with the people who are trying to tell others what they can and can not say.
Maybe you should tell that to all the ANTI-TRUMP posters here on FR who spend their time insulting anyone who doesn't agree with them.
To be fair, there are a few ANTI-CRUZ posters who do the same, but very few.
Donald Trump is not diplomatic in any sense of the word...
does not have a conservative bone in his body...
a self promoting windbag...
not a conservative...
has no intention of turning the country to the right....
You people are being fooled....
You are buying the snake oil...
you don't realize...
it is poison.
As an example of tactful, convincing diplomacy here in the FReeper community, let us look to the polished rhetorical skills of P-Marlowe, above.
Trump washes his hands dozens of times a day?
I posed in the nude too. So did most people. When they were babies.
I guess beandog has salivated over those photos of Melania maybe?
Trump reminds me of the stuck-up, preppy bullies in movies like Animal House who try to humiliate the everyman, average-guy fraternity. Cruz is like the smartest guy in the good fraternity who leads the plotting of an elaborate scheme to take the stuck-up fraternity down.
He doesn't have to try. Not only has he had a lot of practice; but the actions of the GOPe, the Administration and the media have made it very easy for him.
Oh heavens, save us from diplomats. John Kerry is a diplomat. Maybe he should be President.
We don’t live in Saudi Arabia. Women don’t have to completely shroud their bodies.
It’s not as if she posed nude like Melania.
I think we should just ban everyone who wants to ban anyone.
Reagan wasn’t a girly man and he wasn’t a petty, mean, insulting bully. If our kids grow up thinking Trump is the model for masculine behavior, we can weep for the future. We’ll see even more of the urban jungle ghetto culture and attitude seep into mainstream life.

Finding Religion and God in the Presidential Caucuses and Party Primaries
One of the most freakishly disturbing thing about the Trump phenomenon is how he so casually, gratuitously, and nastily attacks people whose conservative bona fides are infinitely superior to his own.
And it is disturbing, on this and other forums, to find Trump supporters mimicking the behavior and trashing other Republican candidates, officeholders, conservative journalists, and rank and file posters(e.g. other Freepers with impeccable conservative chops).
I do not understand the viciousness. Especially when it is deployed against conservatives of long standing on behalf of a man who spent most of his life as a celebrity socialite of Manhattan liberal views, until claiming a conversion in the last couple of years.
Those are great points from Cruz’ campaign.
I will vote for Ted if he wins the nomination.
I will vote for Donald if he wins the nomination.
Because see my tagline.
I will vote for Donald if he wins the nomination."
Well, that makes two of us ...
George Orwell
That's debatable. He may like to spend his time looking at this poster.
He looks like a bully and a Latino gang member.
Sounds like a plan.
