Donald Trump believes Ted Cruz got "pummeled" in Thursday night's GOP debate, which he chose to skip in response to a spat with Fox News.
"I'm glad I wasn't there, he got pummeled," Trump said at a town hall in New Hampshire Friday's debate performance for Cruz, whom he called "an anchor baby in Canada."
"And they didn't even mention that he was born in Canada. When you were born in Canada you aren't supposed to be running for president of the United States."

The only place it isn't settled is in the minds of Trump supporters, the GOPe, and liberals who fear Cruz. Strange bedfellows, huh?
This isn't civics class, it's a technical legal question that has never been decided by SCOTUS. In a nutshell--and I'm not saying it's correct--the argument against considering a child born abroad to at least one U.S. citizen parent "natural born" is that the child was actually "naturalized" at birth rather than "natural born." The child is a U.S. citizen regardless, but the question is how was that citizenship acquired.
They would not hear it and still won’t. No Federal court would, because it would be an inappropriate use of the Declaratory Judgment Act.
I didn’t watch the debate and I don’t plan to watch it. Seems like lots of pundits and Twitter folks are all saying Cruz didn’t do well in the debate. Time will tell if it is true.
I seen another link that showed this, Cruz would walk up to Jeb, he turned around and walked away, all of them did...Cruz is NOT liked!!!
I disagree with your interpretation. Legal scholars disagree about many parts of the Constitution; look at the fuss over the missing comma in the second amendment which would have made it much, much clearer as to the Founder’s intent.
GO.TRUMP.GO!!! ALL THE WAY TO THE OVAL OFFICE!!!
TRUMP IS AN AMERICAN THOUGH AND THOUGH!!!

Change from ‘missing’ to ‘added’ made.
I think the dual citizen thing is/ was the issue wrt to Senate. Something about FEC?
Is he? Where is his Consular Report of Birth Abroad? Because all his birth certificate proves is that he was a Canadian citizen. All his mother’s BC proves is that she was a US citizen.
Now she could have presented her BC (& whatever his father’s proof of citizenship was) to the US embassy & applied for US citizenship on Ted’s behalf, but Did She Do That?
That’s the $64,000 question. People who claim that Cruz is a US citizen are asking people to ASSUME that mother did. With no evidence of that whatsoever.
Try asking a prospective employer to ASSUME that you are a US citizen & protest their ‘demand’ for proof; refusing to provide it. Good luck.
“By your definition if you and your pregnant wife were travelling to Germany and she went into premature labor and delivered there, your child would not be a natural born citizen.”
Uh, I personally believe that is EXACTLY what our Constitutional framers meant by “natural born citizen”: born on our soil. period.
Whatever Trumps problem is it already old

Arrogant, childish and full of himself, just like Obama.
Sure, Donald can act as he wants because he is “paying his own way”, but if Donald were taking donations, how many dollars would he receive from the small donor class - how many would actually pay to support his antics?
As it is, his supporters are getting their feelings massaged at a discount price.
“Trump is too unstable of a man to waste a vote on. He backed out of this debate for flimsy reasons. Who knows if he would pull out of the race before November? The guy is unreliable.”
yeah, right, troll.
looks like trump caused Kelly to get a Rachel Maddow style so she would look less bimbo. fox is done
You have a point. His mother would have had to file to get him citizenship.
“Donald Trump believes Ted Cruz got “pummeled” in Thursday night’s GOP debate”
pretty much every major and minor media outlet has exactly the same take.
and of course that “pummeling” had originally been intended for Trump, who decided one “pummeling” by FNC was one “pummeling” too many.
And the only people who INSIST that it IS settlled are Cruz supporters.
Go figure.
Liberals have nothing to do with this. Between leftists & Cruz is equal to a rick & a hard place, imo.
I agree. I was always taught to be President one had to be born on American soil. Exceptions military bases that are American soil. McCain for instance.
TRUMP IS AN AMERICAN THOUGH AND THOUGH!!!
I didn't watch the debate, but I would like to see Trump break the Iron grip of the lame stream media in choosing our candidates, if nothing else.
I'll take a two year old support me as an American over an intellectual that sells me out to foreigners!
And I want our allies, like Israel, to sleep better knowing that this President won't sell them out to the barbarians because of some IGnoble* principle.
Fixed it for you. Obama does NOT treat Israel honorably.
*Ignoble:
1. Not honorable in character or purpose:
"ignoble feelings of intense jealousy"
synonyms: dishonorable - unworthy - base - shameful
